  • Another ONE MILLION for Deontay Wilder!!!

His Breakfast Club interview got over one million views in less than a week. The Breakfast Club is the #1 rated urban radio show in America. This had nothing to do with his comments about wanting a body. That was only a story within the boxing media. Only the boxing media got fake mad about those comments. Nobody in the comment section is talking about that.

Anthony Joshua got 1.1 mil views on BBC from a video posted 9 months ago and 800k views from the Graham Norton show from a video posted back in Jan. Big fish small pond.

Joshua needs to be realistic if he wants to make this fight in America. A 50/50 split is being generous to him.

Chris Rock interview from almost a year ago has 2.2 mil.

Listening to the interview now. It really is a good interview. Besides the body comments, the interview is well done. I like Wilders style. I think its genuine he really wants to be great and fight the best asap. Hope he gets Joshua next or by year end

It's not, but Wilder can't be treated like someone who provides little or no value added in his own right.

It doesn’t matter AJ needs to be protected at all costs, we need to keep Deontay away from him

Not to mention, his showtime numbers from this past weekend were abysmal...

                Big fish/small pond is accurate.

Nice job cherry picking statistics that have little relevance. The only thing relevant to a split is the income each fighter generates. Everybody knows Joshua generates more than Wilder, which is why Wilder's team are saying 60-40.

Even if the fight does happen in Vegas (which hopefully it does) the income from the fight won't just be from the US. It'd be global... and globally Joshua is a bigger fish than Wilder.

So a fight between an English fighter and a Kiwi fighter being shown in the US didn't do good numbers there? Shock horror. That says nothing other than Joshua isn't popular in the US (which everyone with a brain knew... he's never fought there). That also totally ignores the overall views in the UK and the rest of the world (the Joshua v Parker fight was aired in something like 150 countries) which I can guarantee dwarf the overall views of Wilder v Ortiz. If they didn't then it would be Wilder that fights routinely for $20,000,000 purses. We all know that's not the case don't we?

Can't we all just stop with these bull**** threads for a while and give Joshua and Wilder's team time to actually make the fight like both camps are now saying they want? Was only yesterday that Sky Sports published an article stating that Hearn is 'very confident' that a deal with Wilder get's done.
