Do you think Vegas will have AJ or Wilder as the favourite?

He's got fast hands and KO power. Joshua doesn't move his head and is quite stiff, so I wouldn't be shocked at all if Wilder hits him with a 1-2 and puts him out. I've always felt it's a 50/50 fight, with both fighters having an equal chance of stopping the other. But Wilder's unpredictability would cause a lot of problems.

You can see with Ortiz that the minute he felt he had Ortiz in trouble he went in hammer and tongs. Wilder knows that no matter what, if he does not get Koed he will get an opportunity to catch Joshua and he is right to be confidant about that because that is precisely what he trains for.

So while his opponent is involved with decisions about strategy and concerns about the way the fight may be going, etc...all Wilder has to do is make sure he gets a certain number of tries and he will catch his man. Its kind of like David Haye but Wilder does not even try to carry himself like a boxer puncher. When he unloads his punches come from every angle, like a street fighter. and because of his reach its hard to guage where those punches will go. Especially when he is running towards his man.
True, true. Your post reminds me of the Washington fight. Here, Wilder is looking for opportunities that just aren't coming and he's losing rounds trying to box this guy. So, what does he do? He just goes and punches that mufker and then the fight is over. Several of his fights have gone that way. After the 3rd rd in the Ortiz fight, I said, "Ortiz came with the right gameplan, Wilder is ***ed." But, once again, Deontay's power is able to trump superior boxing and secure a win.

Listen to Foreman talk about the Moorer fight. He reminisces confidently, saying he knew no matter how bad he got out-boxed, he's be able to turn it around. That may be peppered in bullshyt but I imagine that's how Deontay views these fights. Because, that's how it's worked out for him. When you're packing a 44mag, you tend to feel pretty confident about yourself.

Why shouldn't he be confident? What does Joshua offer that would be too much for Wilder? They're both slow, sloppy robotic fighters in a lot of ways, it's a true pick 'em fight. One guy has about as much chance as the other.

I bet Wilder has been looking at tapes of AJ, Joshua isn't so different from Luis Ortiz both guys cumbersome and very slow.
Plus when you watch the Parker fight again Parker showed what a bit of head and good foot movement can do to AJ the only problem for Parker was he never had the height and reach plus he lacks the power big time, Wilder has all of that in his arsenal its just a matter of using it.
Wilder chin is just as good If not better than Parkers as well.

Boxers think they can beat anybody. If he don't believe in himself then why even fight.

It makes a tremendous amount of sense from a martial arts perspective because you fight the way you train. Wilder will never fall back on his boxing skills to win fights.

Foreman and crazy as it sounds The older crazier Shannon Briggs who was fighting Lyhovitz. Briggs was not as active and was probably losing on points, and was not throwing much leather. But he won that fight with a KO and one second to spare.

Whats funny is that Briggs was always a closet puncher.
