Yeah it's getting to the point where I'd like he fight just so I could stop seeing threads about whether it takes place!

Problem with Tyson etc is that we're talking 20 years ago or more and the scene has changed. They've increasingly found sales slowing even for Mayweather towards the end. Boxing in the us doesn't seem to be the same draw and that goes for Vegas too.

Anthony Joshua would be well advised to grow a Mexican looking moustache and find a long lost great grandfather called pedro...

True. Vegas isn't the same since Floyd left. However, AJ/Wilder would be promoted right and would attract casual fans given the prize at stake.

It's Aj's choice IMO. if he wants Wembley, so be it. He is the clear A side.

Find the footage, or provide a means of finding it (e.g. mention where you found it)

"apparently"s aren't much good to anyone these days.

Footage is in Eddie hearns safe. Along with all the footage of parkers punches he landed that never got any replays during the breaks.

Got to keep that hype train rolling for as long as possible.

My after thoughts are JP just did not have the right strategy going into this fight, the article says he was doing well early in the fight, but that was wrong. He didn't start winning any rounds until midway in the bout, WTF?

JP tried to land from the outside but he wasn't fast enough to get in & get out, IMHO he should have got inside every chance he could, made it a messy affair and get the best chance at landing a hook and try to stop AJ cause as you can see by the cards, the judging is a little suspect.

Also, it's clear that AJ is much more committed to conditioning, JP was in the best shape of his career and he looked pudgy next to AJ.

Going forward, JP needs to revaluate his game plans, who knows who AJ will fight next, and we all can just wait (& hope) for the real unification fight to happen.

I rewatched this fight and my view has changed somewhat more. The more I watch this fight the more I see impressive feet movement and defensive skills (hand blocking any right punch from Parker). Although this wasn’t a spectacle I think that was largely down to the referee who jumped in when either fighter looked like throwing a combination.

It really was a comfortable win, there was probably an argument that Parker could have been given four rounds but I don’t think anyone scoring properly could give more than that. I personally had two rounds to Parker when I initially watched it and again when I re watched it.

I think the real question is what next? I posted this elsewhere but I think it’s very valid - those calling out Joshua are asking him to unify three fights in four; I don’t know another fighter who has done that? There probably is, but can’t be many. Realistically it would be sensible for Joshua to do a more sensible voluntary, Miller in the US to help build up profile there is an obvious one to be honest - although he appeared to rule it out himself at the weekend.

The contrasting point is the acceptance of Wilder fans for him to fight so many nobodies over a ten year stretch yet demand Joshua fight him now after only 21 fights.

Although Wilder is a possibility I see Joshua taking on a voluntary, followed up by Povetkin (mandatory) and then that builds up to a fight early 2019. It also ties up wih is history as a professional..

                  March 2016 Martin for IBF
April 2017 Klitschko for WBA and IBO
                  March 2018Parker for WBO
March 2019??? Wilder for WBC, The Ring and Undisputed?

it's not just the fighters but the prize that will draw fans. A unification between 2 unbeaten HWT's, one that fills 80k seat arenas, is not going to be priced cheaply.
You do realise ringside tickets for joshua parker were $2500 , and then $800 , $400 , $280 , $200 , $130 , $100 ,$70 and all 80k sold out ....so how much more do you think the american promoters could bump onto those prices......not much and not to mention joshua quite easly ships 2 ppvs over here and there is no way a promotion company would gamble on a market that just is not there at the moment.....why should joshua who will bring in most of the revenue reward wilder with a fight in wilders own back yard....its not going to happen and for the fisrt time in many a year the A- side is on this side of the atlantic and thats a fact

I already said Joshua is the a side. We have no issue other than the fact the fight will generate more in Vegas than in Wembley.

If AJ wants the huge crowd and Wembley, ok his choice. If he wants more money, his choice.

I'm fine with anything so long as they fight next.
