I think thats a fair comment mr dunn.......but if the fight is going to be made this year which most people want there is only one option where this fight takes place and thats in wembley.......wilder & joshua just cannot bring the numbers thats needed to make the fight viable in the US and earn the revenue that is earnt by joshua fighting on his home soil.I agree with Cliff on this. However I think it's much more at stake than just making Floyd level money.
AJ can be the face of the sport. As the HWT champ he could transcend the sport to a much greater degree than Floyd did. There is a TON on the table if he unifies the belts.
yes he can stay in England and be the Prince Charles of Boxing. He will still make a killing. Just will never be the global superstar he could be.
Wilder can earn at 5x his highest purse which would not be possible if it is held in the states.
Hopefully they can set a rematch up in the america when there profile gets good exposure with the 1st fight.Comment

That isn't true. Vegas will generate more revenue than Wembley because the seats will be priced extremely high.I think thats a fair comment mr dunn.......but if the fight is going to be made this year which most people want there is only one option where this fight takes place and thats in wembley.......wilder & joshua just cannot bring the numbers thats needed to make the fight viable in the US and earn the revenue that is earnt by joshua fighting on his home soil.

That is why Floyd/Manny, Floyd/Conor , FLoyd/ODH and Floyd/Canelo all had more revenue than Wlad/AJ.
Add to that AJ would get all that UK PPV money.Comment

Potentially more, but the key word is potential. The Wembley take and uk PPV is tried and tested.
The Vegas fights you reference featured Las Vegas native and phenomenon Mayweather as well as Hispanic fighters who drew the Latino boxing fans.
Take the fight to Vegas and you impact on the uk PPV also.
So whilst on paper Vegas could deliver greater income, it's a risk and so far the us tv viewing figures from both boxers don't suggest that either of them are box office over there.
Hence Hearns plan to take AJ to nyc, to prime the US market in advance of a Wilder fight.Comment

how dare you quote wilder or joshua in the same breath as mayweather, pacquiao,de la hoya...behave there is not a hope in hell that they can sell tickets at the same rate as the fighters you mention.
What planet are you on.....wilder is not known in the states by the general public and you expect then to fork out hundreds for the lowest tickets.......plus the ppv will never make anywhere near the levels of a joshua fight here.....wilder has never even boxed on ppv and you think he is goona rival even a canelo......wake up to the fact that wilder will have to face joshua over here....Uk is proven with joshua...wilder is not proven in the states and thats a fact.......so let me get this right wilder who struggles to sell a 6k arena in the states against a fighter that is still some way short of being known america can charge ticket at the same rate those fighters you mention....GTFOH lolComment

People are saying AJ intentionly making his glove tape loose so he can rest in the middle of rounds. Apparently there is footage of him messing with it.
A big weird it keeps happening.
At least he wasn't spitting his mouth guard out this time.Comment

That was just as an example. Tyson and other HWT fights drew well in Vegas and made huge money.Potentially more, but the key word is potential. The Wembley take and uk PPV is tried and tested.

I have no issue with fight being in Wembley.
I just want the fight next.Comment

Hold on, I never said that now did I? I used those fights as an example of Vegas generating more income because ticket prices are higher.how dare you quote wilder or joshua in the same breath as mayweather, pacquiao,de la hoya...behave there is not a hope in hell that they can sell tickets at the same rate as the fighters you mention.

I don't expect them to charge as much, but I do expect to see ticket prices higher than for Canelo/GGG.
it's not just the fighters but the prize that will draw fans. A unification between 2 unbeaten HWT's, one that fills 80k seat arenas, is not going to be priced cheaply.Comment
