This is Eddie Hearn on Canelo... "Having spoke to doctors, when we put a VADA random testing in process, previously we’ve done it with 8 weeks to go. The doctors have told me this is the biggest waste of time game. You need it 16 weeks out because a drug cheat will stop their cycle probably by 8 weeks...which is about the time that this has happened, which again don’t look great."

How opportune. He didn't get caught intentionally, but his handlers are no doubt liking the "aging" as they call it in the sport. 2 problems. 1. He's going to have to submit to year round VADA now which means the stamina issues will come back and body mass will go down. 2. Team Golovkin probably sees they don't need the fight now. With red tape or tune-ups (bc Canelo would be crazy to take a rematch off the "gear" with a year of inactivity) Golovkin could be at or near 37 by the time this fight happens. Of 6000 polled on Bleacher Report of black, white, hispanic, asian etc, 80% believed GGG won. 10% were for Canelo and 10% were for draw. That's not 37 people. That's 6,000 fight fans. Golovkin and his team know the way boxing works. They don't need the rematch. Anyone saying he does is strictly ego just trying to hope their man can get some redemption. I didn't care who won, I just wanted a good fight. But now all of this comes out. And it's ruining the sport. Big cong**** to Golovkin for fighting clean at nearly a decade older and being THE champ.

So sick of all the bull**** in boxing, and GBP's bull****. Also very frustrated that Loeffler let this bull**** happen. GGG may be the B-side but he is a big B-side, a B-side that made Canelo and GBP probably 7 or 8 times the money that they made fighting Smith. Loeffler should have enough leverage in this equation to have said, "GGG wants to fight by march. We can't always just fight in May and September when May is 8 months away. Let's do the rematch in March or even February, then both GGG and Canelo can get an extra fight in May or June to make even MORE money, and then Canelo can still fight on Mexican Independence Weekend."

Instead, Loeffler made GGG inactive for ANOTHER 8 months at the most inopportune time of his career, given his age, only to miss out on Canelo anyway. Just complete ****ing amateur hour. I wish GGG had left Loeffler years ago, his career might have actually lived up to its potential. After everything he and his family went through, it's an insult to him and his brother that Loeffler let this happen. The only good thing you can say is Loeffler is getting him paid, but it's at the EXPENSE of his career and his legacy. If that's really all GGG cares about after dedicating his life to boxing to reach this level, then fine, but if GGG actually meant what he said all those times about fighting for legacy more than money, then the way Loeffler has moved his career in the exact opposite direction of what GGG said he wanted is a ****ing insult.

Does 3 months = 1 Or 2 GGG years??? So 8 months could be up to almost 6 years in GGG time!!! Wow!

They refused to license him for his behavior in the Holyfield fight. Big difference between behavior and drug use.

Alvarez is a drug cheat. His legacy is tainted forever. He should be banned from boxing. The Lance Amstrong of boxing.
