Duck out of the GGG rematch, and have the NSAC clear him to fight in July once a May 5th GGG fight is announced? If that happens, boxing is dead, not a joke either.

His suspension is only based in Nevada. California and New York usually follow what Nevada does, but Mike Tyson had fights in Memphis and Louisville while suspended in Nevada.Comment

Damn homie! I have to say that's a pretty good analysis and now that I think about it, I can't really imagine not seeing Canelo fight for a year. I wonder if they'll show it on HBO still🤔? I did notice that they were still showing Canelo on some ESPN commercials during boxing on Saturday.Comment

"Valero was in a severe motorcycle accident on February 5, 2001. He suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and a fractured skull. About a year later, he was cleared by doctors in Venezuela to fight and turned professional on July 9, 2002 with a first-round knockout of Eduardo Hernandez.
Golden Boy Promotions signed Valero after his third fight in the United States, a first-round knockout of Tomas Zambrano in Irvine, California on December 18, 2003. Golden Boy tried to put him on a card in New York in January 2004, but he was declined a license after a routine MRI revealed a small blood clot on his brain, the result of the motorcycle accident. The New York State Athletic Commission placed him on the indefinite suspension list.
After a seventeenth-month layoff, Valero returned to boxing. He fought in Argentina, Panama, Venezuela, Japan, and France.
...In March 2009, Valero was granted a license in Texas, which had him submit to a battery of tests before allowing him to fight there." (http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Edwin_Valero)Comment

By summer? But they kept GGG inactive for 8 ****ing months because Canelo can only fight on May 5th and Mexican Independence Weekend in September, I thought!
So sick of all the bull**** in boxing, and GBP's bull****. Also very frustrated that Loeffler let this bull**** happen. GGG may be the B-side but he is a big B-side, a B-side that made Canelo and GBP probably 7 or 8 times the money that they made fighting Smith. Loeffler should have enough leverage in this equation to have said, "GGG wants to fight by march. We can't always just fight in May and September when May is 8 months away. Let's do the rematch in March or even February, then both GGG and Canelo can get an extra fight in May or June to make even MORE money, and then Canelo can still fight on Mexican Independence Weekend."
Instead, Loeffler made GGG inactive for ANOTHER 8 months at the most inopportune time of his career, given his age, only to miss out on Canelo anyway. Just complete ****ing amateur hour. I wish GGG had left Loeffler years ago, his career might have actually lived up to its potential. After everything he and his family went through, it's an insult to him and his brother that Loeffler let this happen. The only good thing you can say is Loeffler is getting him paid, but it's at the EXPENSE of his career and his legacy. If that's really all GGG cares about after dedicating his life to boxing to reach this level, then fine, but if GGG actually meant what he said all those times about fighting for legacy more than money, then the way Loeffler has moved his career in the exact opposite direction of what GGG said he wanted is a ****ing insult.Comment

Canelo will fight GGG by September is my guess.
There are multiple reason's first this makes by far the most money unless Wilder vs Joshua happens but that seems unlikely till next year. Las Vegas just lost a 9 figure fight today and my guess the higher ups there are fuming that this happened.
Another is GGG is getting older and if he loses prior to him fighting Canelo that rematch will no longer have the buzz or would likely happen.
At the end of the day Boxing is the ultimate business compared to any other sport and when huge amounts of money effect the bottom line heads roll.Comment

Other fighters have fought in other countries while being suspended in the US.
