If Warren makes GGG a good offer, I'd consider taking it unless he's absolutely dead set on fighting May 5. Even if the fight gets put back a few weeks it might turn out to be worth it if they can build a more robust card and legitimise a potential PPV. They can have it in Vegas or in the UK and make decent revenue either way.

yes
headlining a unification in June > headlining a fight against a nobody in May
there is absolutely no question about that
especially if that unification happens to be your..... " dream "
sweet-pea Saunders has got you poo'ing excuses lolComment

If Saunders could be ready for 5th then all good lets get it on but poor Billy aint ready and never will be imo.Comment

Hes been training and he is ready now. GGG likes to stay active so whats it matter if he takes an easy fight, gets the Canelo fight back in September then can unify with Billy boy.

If the money is the same or better, why not wait a month and unify with Saunders? Why put your future in the hands of Alvarez who's jerked him around in the past?Comment

I had trouble following your argument. You're basically saying that GGG should fight a nobody on May 5, make peanuts (he's not a big draw and HBO certainly ain shelling out bucks for another mismatch), and then hope that Alvarez is out of timeout?

bjs is not ready & team golovkin said May 5th it is so he can call Jermall Charlo to stop his fight 2weeks away which is PERFECT timing or settle for Boo Boo.Comment

Why wouldn't GGG move the date to fight a unification fight? Both fighters won't be ready for each others on May 5th since GGG has been training for an orthodox fighter the past 4-5 weeks and Saunders is still injured.
Why would anyone want to see a unification bout with neither fighter being at a 100%? I hate fighters making excuses after fights so I would be all for them fighting on a normal 8-9 weeks notice than on a 3 weeks notice, this is the best fight at the division so why not? People always talk about not liking all the business talks and aspects of boxing but when they feel like it serves their favorite fighter they all become managers all of a sudden, as a boxing fan I couldn't care less about the money both fighters would lose if they fought in June instead of May (not even sure if that would play a significant role), I just wanna see that fight and I wanna be sure that going into the fight that both guys are 100% ready for rach others.Comment
