You know, if they lock up BJS for a big fight a week or two later and give GGG a chance to unify the belts, he should.

His fight with Murray was postponed until June. That more than 1-2 weeks away from May 5th in case you dont know

They can still fight in Texas or in New York in September, Canelo is only suspended in Nevada and I don't think these commissions would stand in fhe way of a huge fight like this despite Canelo's failed tests from February, Vada should keep testing Canelo till his next fight though.

PPV sales will still be very good regardless of where the fight takes place, the gate might be affected a bit but I don't think that would make that big of a difference for the total revenue. I think that's what Löffler is looking at and he's probably communicating with other commissions right now and as a result we will get another Dominic Wade type fighter against GGG in May.

If he's suspended he won't be able to get a license to box in another state. Its considered a spit in the face to the commission and the commissions are usually working in tandem.

If it worked that way, then essentially its ***k the rules. If you get caught cheating, just move to another state. Horrible precedent to set. That reflects badly on the states athletic commission.

They're money hungry, but there's not enough money to cover the liability if they let a fighter that was suspended in another state fight in their state, and then god forbid he seriously hurts GGG or worst case turns him into a vegetable like Magomed and Mcclellan. That type of negligence at a minimum lands guys court dates and at worst in prison. Its not near worth the headache for some sanctioning fees.

I think it will be longer. He's already talking about not fighting in Vegas anymore since he was the last to know about the suspension. They convicted him before the trial.

NAC knows this and will now try and keep him from making other states $$$$. My guess??? He fights in Mexico City in Sept. If its 1 year or more....

Usually, these athletic commissions do retro-active suspensions. Meaning that they'll go by the date of the failed tests. If they do give him a 6 month suspension, that means it would end in mid-August. September could still be on.

If this is true, it would make the chances a lot better for an end of year fight but I'd still see September as a reach. They can't be promoting the fight while the guy is still suspended.
