you acted like he was a fighter in need of a deserved payday and he's not in need of anyting. he got his pot of gold in the first alvarez fight, and in the 3-4 years before that he was maxing out what HBO can pay a guy for a purse off of PPV. why do you think even this sham of a replacement opponent will end up on PPV? hbo cannot pay golovkin any more!

the guy was is of the highest paid HBO fighters of the last five years! pretty obvious you didn't know how much money he was making based on your remarks in your OP. so i informed you.

Well not so much in the money aspect. the guy has had like 10 fights where he made over a million and a few of those he made over 2 million. He also had some other fights making a few hundred thousand. He's set for life if he doesn't pull an Allen Iverson.

Gennady Golovkin is already a multimillionaire, but he is about to enter into a whole other sphere of wealth.

Estimates as to the king of the middleweight's net worth vary somewhat significantly. According to Celebrity Net Worth, the 35-year-old from Kazakhstan is worth $6 million, while British site RegulatedBroker.co.uk estimates that Golovkin has already earned more than $15 million from his fights, which suggests a net worth well above $6 million.

Depending on how his fight vs. Canelo Alvarez sells on Pay Per View, Golovkin will earn anywhere from $15 million-$25 million for his work on Saturday night, per Total Sportek.
