Eh, it's not such a huge issue for him. He made $15-25m from the first Canelo, and several mill before that (1.5-3m/fight). Will he miss another large payday? Sure. But it's not like he's been making peanuts and this was his only chance.

The real losers are the fans. Draws suck, especially between 2 top3 fighters in a division. It would have been great to find out who the top dog is.

He is still worth about $25M right now. Not too shabby.

He's trying Hopkin's blueprint but the difference is Hopkins is Bhop completely reinvented his game to support his aging body. We have yet to see if GGG can adapt as he grows older and weaker.

Golovkin is fine, he has investments and he has made over 1 billion in real estate + boxing.

Do people think that GGG missing out on the Canelo fight is down to the money he misses out on or the chance to prove to everyone that he has Canelos groove and will miss out on the legacy if he had of beat him?

I agree with this (apart from 25 mill for last fight!). Yes, he is missing a big payday but he will still eat. No going hungry at the dinner table because this fight didn't happen.

I also agree with fans losing out because a logical/rational person can't blame him (they can be annoyed, as i will be) for doing the risk/reward thing on 5th May but remember the reward is the next fight - at least ??? mill to send him into retirement.

Why scew that up by trying to beat a slick southpaw who doesn't have a fan friendly style?

Yeah 3XG loses big on this one but the biggest loser among the losers of this fiasco is Caneloterol which got the biggest loses in credibility and money.

Golovkin has made a lot of money already and he doesn't spend his fortunes like an idiot. No reason to feel bad.
