Relative to their era since some of the fighters are close to 100 years apart I'd go something like this -

      1. Jimmy Wilde
      2. Ted Lewis
      3. Jack Berg
      4. Jim Driscoll
      5. Joe Calzaghe
      6. Lennox Lewis
      7. Freddie Welsh
      8. Ken Buchanan
      9. Benny Lynch
      10. Owen Moran

Bob Fitzsimmons and Jimmy McLarnin (Northern Ireland) were British born but left so young they probably don't count but I'd imagine McLarnin could even be #1.

Lol I don't think there are 10 that's optimistic I'd say there's probably 5 but even that's questionable but the majority have been overhyped, overrated and never tested themselves.

Example calzaghe not fighting decent opposition until he was 36 with victories over a shot Roy Jones and Hopkins. You have Hatton with a win over a shot tyszu. List goes on we have a bad habit as a country of over hyping the *** out of anyone who shows what we perceive as promise lol its pathetic.

            Can't give 10 but...
            Calzaghe
            Lewis
I get stuck after that. From the guys I've watched, I'd add Froch but all the Brits call him overrated if you talk about him being in Ward's resume. So, I dunno...

I think a lot of the guys I put in like Wilde, Driscoll, Lynch, Berg, Ted Lewis etc; were unquestionably great relative to their era though admittedly footage is harder to find but they have great accomplishments and/or resumes and glowing reviews from those times. Sort of the way Harry Greb is clearly a top 10 (probably 5) all-time great despite some of the only footage available being him looking not so good during a shadow boxing routine.

I do think from Buchanan until Lewis there was close to 30 years without a fighter being great which is a very long time. I think the next 30 years will be better and perhaps bump some names off the list.
