Meh, I don't buy it. It's a really bad situation for him, and if he really wanted to prove that he's clean, he could have done more. All he and his team has done is get a doctor to say that it's in line with previous tainted meat levels.

He could have done so much more to prove he's clean. Hair samples, providing receipts for his purchases, sharing his history, statements from his trainers where and what he ate, how much is needed to have the levels.

All they keep repeating is that he was clean before and after, which means nothing since we know how drugs work. It's su****ious, and makes him look guilty.

The big problem with the “contaminated meat” alibi is that there is no control group to compare the results. For instance, had VADA gone to Canelos home town and tested say fifty boxers, pro and amature, and found a positive wide spread Clenbuterol levels in that group, then yes I would take his claim into serious consideration. But that didnt happen. Hell if the Reynoso( sp?) guys taken the VADA test along side Canelo and showed up with trace anounts of Clenbuterol, again I could see his arguement. But to stand alone with the meat excuse and the actions taken in the past few weeks, it doesnt look favorable for his case or his reputation. Im not sure if Canelo will ever shed this embarasment to his reputation. Just like Marguerito with the hand wrap thing, maybe he did and maybe he didnt,.... but the damage has been done and nothing will ever erase that shadow of doubt in the public eye.

So now that Canelo withdraw early from May 5th, he has a few months to cycle PEDs again in preparation for the fight in September!

All that matters now is that Canelo continues to be tested RIGHT NOW until he fights GGG. Not starting again after April 18th. That would give him a week or two to cycle again. NOW. Non-stop until September. I hope Loeffler is on top of this but I'm sure he isn't.

Except for the payday, not sure the advantage in Golovkin fighting Alvarez again. Beat a good substitute on May 5, make a unification bout with Saunders. If you win both those, head up to 168 and cement your legacy in another division if you can.

Let Alvarez rebuild his career on someone else's names in the ring. I realize all those zero's are tempting, but Trip G has made plenty of good coin and has lived a fairly modest lifestyle from all I have heard. He plain flat does not need this circus again in his life.
