And GGG takes the Mexican holidays from clenelo! Kidding... Maybe.

He said he is defending his titles so it won't be anyone above 160, eliminating JCCjr or Zurdo.

It'll be Spike O'Sullivan, he is ranked well by multiple bodies, nothing unusual to deal with style wise.

IMO the best option is book Gilberto Rameriez (who apparently said earlier this week he is interested in the fight). Make it at 168 lbs for Rameriez's title. It would sell massive on PPV and big a big hit. If GGG loses....**** it he's still MW champ. If he wins then he successfully moved up (which everyone has been jockeying his nutsack about doing for a long time) and he can vacate the 168 lb belt and still be MW champ. Some one tell Tom L. whats up.
Chavez still has a name that carries weight. and no matter how trash he is Mexico still flocks to support him. who would've thought his fight vs Canelo was gonna crack 1 million? nobody. Chavez name had a whole lot to do with that. the ONLY way to hold on to the May 5th date and attract your target audience (Mexicans) in droves is to add Chavez to the card. the contract weight should be 167 because Chavez is fat boy.

Spike Osullivan is better than Berto? I don't think you're much of a fan if you think that.

Yes that's right. If GGG is saying "it will be my 20th title defense" then we can throw JCC Jr and Zurdo right out the window.

I like Spike honestly. Good for him if he gets a payday. If it's going to be at 160 though, I would prefer GGG fight Devernchenko. It's the IBF Mando, he needs to get it out of the way so he can fight Canelo or Charlo in September.

Headline what? A ballroom boxing fight? He banking on getting 98K ppv buys this time? Nobody's going to spend money on him, and he's not going to fight anyone big enough to bring out the fans or have then spend money on PPV.

He f.ucked up for being a whiny b.itch.

you contribute good points on this site RB, but WTF is the difference how many PPVs are sold, or how many GGG has sold in the past?? Do you profit from the #s?? does anybody on this site depend on GGGs numbers to feed their family?? ...

If he's defending the titles, it'll deft be spike. If so, I bet spike is thrilled the Jacobs fight fell thru.

I hope I'm wrong tho and he fight Andrade or any other live dog. Spike isn't much of a threat

I'll let you into a secret.

This sport is all about money. Money determines what fights get made and don't. From the orgs rankings to the fighters voluntaries, all determined by money. So how much a fighter sells is very important.
