Oh goodness. I forgot that I'm on the internet where sarcasm and extremism is premium and level headed conversation is reprehensible. How about I say it like this: I know for a fact that he ingested this stuff intentionally and he should never be allowed in the ring again. Does that suit your sensibilities more?Comment

Vegas has survived the retirements of mayweather, Oscar, Tyson, sugar ray Leonard, so I highly doubt Canelo and golden boys weak roster will be enough to put them out of business. Yeah, Barclay's gets some good pbc fights but at the end of the day, the big fights still go through Vegas.Comment

This entire debacle has been sad and now we've been denied the rematch we so desperately wanted to see. Hopefully they can revisit the fight at the end of the year.Comment

There is also legal precedent.
After Guillermo Jones failed his drug test in the lead up to his 2014 rematch with Denis Lebedev, Lebedev sued for lost purse and expenses, and was awarded $2 million dollars in damages.
Deontay Wilder also sued Alexander Povetkin for his failed drug test in the lead up to their fight.
Wilder won $4.5 million in damages, the full amount of his purse.
Canelo will have little chance in winning as the case history has shown, and Golovkin will most likely end up being awarded damages in the full amount of his purse also.
Golden Boy probably has an insurance policy that covers eventualities like this, so unfortunately, it probably wont be Canelo who is out of pocket for the $15m.
If it does come out of Canelos pocket, he will learn a very expensive lesson in professionalism.Last edited by !! Shawn; 04-03-2018, 03:19 PM.Comment

you are aware that there was boxing there before canelo, right? And much bigger names than canelo have retired and Vegas still thrives. I doubt somebody with only 4 successful ppvs (2 of which he was the b side for) will bring Vegas to its knees if he refuses to fight there. Also, if Vegas suspends him, he won't just be going to Texas or NY because they'd hold up the suspension as well. This damages Canelos career way more than it does Vegas.Comment

Linear? What the F is a linear? Did you mean LINEAL champion? Too bad at 27, Canelo STILL couldn’t beat the man who is the man at 160. So much so he needed an edge and got busted! BAHAHAHAHA! What a waste of youth! Two biggest fights of his career and he got unanimously handled over 12 shut out rounds by Floyd and for all the talk, got outhustled by the old man! But you’re mad at him for Canelo popping for Clenbuterol? Give it up son...Comment
