Why hasn't Jacobs name been mentioned for GGG may 5th?

He's fighting a week before on April 28th against some nobody. Been in camp training same as GGG. Had a great first fight vs GGG. Could sell it on PPV instead of having to fight a bum on HBO if you're GGG.

Makes too much sense I guess to pay off the nobody Jacobs is fighting and putting the rematch together? That's boxing for ya.

      1. He's contractually obligated to fight Sulecki
      2. The fight is now a WBA title eliminator fight
      3. If he cancels the fight to try to fight GGG (after already being contractually obligated), he will get sued, immediately dropped as an eliminating title fighter, making him no longer in the sights of Gennady.

It'd be a terribly ****** idea for him to even think about that. Hearn wouldn't allow that anyway. Nor would Haymon.

Jacobs already lost and I'd rather see him fight Charlo or Andrade.

You must have missed the part where I said they work out a deal with the guy they're fighting.

I had asked the same question but after considering it for awhile I don't think that doing the rematch on such short notice would do justice to either fighter.

Short notice? Training camps typically run 8-10 weeks.

So you think training for Canelo is similar to training for Jacobs? training for 6'1" Sulecki similar to training for Golovkin?
