  • Comments Thread For: Joshua: Going 12 is Fine With Me; Not About 100% KO Record

    Anthony Joshua wasn't disappointed because he didn't knock out his opponent for the first time in his pro career Saturday night. The undefeated heavyweight champion feels he displayed diversity by out-boxing Joseph Parker during their 12-round title unification fight in Cardiff, Wales. England's Joshua (21-0, 20 KOs) mostly used his jab to get past Parker (24-1, 18 KOs), who lost by big margins on all three scorecards at Principality Stadium (119-109, 118-110, 118-110).

      Seen this story a few times. At no time prior to the fight did AJ say what he's saying now

      Here's what he said;

      It’s good news that he wants a war. In boxing, all you need is a good chin and a right hand but I’ve been working on finesse, technique, counter punching,” said Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs). “I hope Joseph Parker falls into my booby traps because I’m going to set him up with some power shots as well.

      Yeah, I’ll be up for a war. I’ll hopefully be up for some blood, sweat, and cheers from my corner

          Mayweather didn't go the distance a majority of his career but I get what he's saying. 49 wins with 26 KO's is a 52% KO ratio.

            was a boring fight but its all good it happens, aj should stay away from wilder right now and I think he and his team know it. not that wilder is levels above him skill wise but hes tailor made for a wilder KO if he fights like he did in this fight

              I kinda agree it's about the win as a professional athlete and they'll be times where you might not look great doing it. Hell he's knocked out every single opponent prior in entertaining fashion. That's rare so let's not be too harsh, it can't happen every time.

              Only thing I would say is AJ criticised Fury for not being at all entertaining against Wlad whereas he was.

              Now he wasn't avoiding as much as Fury, but he can't have it both ways. Say that, then say this.
