Charlo, but everyone know he's got a fight signed already so I'm not sure why he's on that poll at all.

I picked Ramirez only because hes Mexican, makes sense for that specific weekend, and he is a risk that would make the ppv worthy.

No fight above 160 would be considered. This fight is to tie the MW defense record.

Chavez Jr would be a meaningless fight and cynical cash grab. Spike O'Sullivan needs to earn a shot. He's done nothing to justify it. Rameriez is a good option but it should be for September for that Mexican holiday. Not enough notice to make the fight as big as it could be. September would be perfect.

Derevyanchenko is a mandatory bout GGG has to fight eventually. May as well take care of it now. Andrade would be the next option but he really needs to do more to earn a fight as well.
            Bold 1: Good point here.

GGG isn't that big enough that boxers would drop everything to fight him, money wise. Jermall is on a good card. I'm sure he'll get paid well for that easy work, and Jacobs has his Hearn deal!

If it was Canelo needing a substitute, I'm sure Jacobs, Charlo, and some other JMW would be calling, even shittalking Canelo to get the fight. I could see Spence calling him. With GGG, not so much. Doesn't make money sense.

Bold 2: I like this fight. It may not go so well for GGG.

I say NO to Spike. GGG's Wade days are behind him! At least I hope so.

Ultimately this fight is to bring in $, and him fighting a non mexican on cinco de mayo weekend isn't a good business decision. If he was to move up in weight to fight the super middleweight champ who is Mexican, would be better business than fighting Andrade, who i think is the morally right decision, but not when they need ppvs sold.

Oh, I agree with the money aspect but not everything is about money.

                  in no particular order:
                  Andrade
                  Charlo
                  Derevyanchenko

IMO any of these fighters are better fighters than Clenelo.
They are the next generation of middleweights and are really solid guys.
GGG cleared the division of fighters of his generation, if he manages to beat all fighters of the next generation his legacy in the MW will be cemented for ages. I would like to see GGG fight all of them in the next year or two and then move up.
                  Good post, except the bold.

Not to be too negative but GGG cleared an era of weaklings. The next generation, coming up from the welterweight and JMW, looks pretty solid. I don't see GGG doing any of that.

If you look closely at Golovkin in his interviews for the past little while, he doesn't seem to have much zeal for boxing anymore. No words about serious boxing, big drama shows, or good boys. When that happens, it's usually over soon.

I think he should make one more big payday and get out. I don't like the Canelo fight, but for GGG's sake, I hope it's not canceled. Best money fight to retire on.

I voted Jacobs, though I know that is impossible. He deserves a rematch and really Canelo didn't. I had Golovkin winning both but the Jacobs fight was the closer. Without the knockdown that was a LEGIT draw.
