That'd be a very good fight but it's high risk low reward type fight for GGG, I think GGG will fight Canelo no matter what and if not in May then in September, that's a huge paysay for for everyone involved and they won't let it slip, that's the type of fight GGG can retire off of so they can't risk that by fighting Andrade.

      Where is Jermall Charlo hiding???

The Charlo twins are usually the loudest on social media and now that GGG needs a good replacement they are quiet?

Maybe I am just missing something.
Isn't Jermall fighting Centeno (who lost to the guy Jacobs is fighting)? I think a Jacobs rematch would be tougher than Charlo and Andrade, and I think Jacobs would beat either of those two. Andrade hasn't got the power to keep GGG cautious, and tbh Charlo's opponents don't exactly make me sit up and take notice.

Given how little time he has to prepare for someone else, O'Sullivan, who is ranked in the top ten by three bodies is honestly a good opponent.

Fighting anyone other than a fighter who is a lot like Canelo is a huge ask. Fighting a southpaw instead of an orthodox fighter is insane. Southpaw fighters train to face orthodox fighters their whole career, that's why they have the edge, even when the orthodox fighter has 10 weeks and sparring partners to prepare.

Could he fight Andrade and win on no training? Maybe. But it would be professional negligence for his promoter and trainer to allow him too. HBO doesn't like Andrade, obviously, so even if everyone was game, they still could not fight.
Very well researched and you are right, the chances of HBO allowing Andrade back are little and none.

I like Andrade but he's not getting the fight. Maybe if Canelo withdrew earlier but GGG not switching to fighting Andrade on short notice like that.

I know we boxing fans live in a fantasy world where every time we should get the ideal match-up, but sometimes it just doesn't make sense.
I sort of agree... But the guy is 35. At this point, he should always be in good fights against top opponents. He's made lots of money. He's been in camp for a while already and he's ready. So why not?

No, competition is in now so obviously he can't compete with the good opponents.

I would be happy with Jacobs, Charlo, Andrade, or Derev getting the May sweepstakes. Jose would all be good challengers to GGG's belt
