Based on what.
What are Andrade, he’s safety minded like a no other. He literally said he wanted to wait until ggg was mid 30’s before fighting him, not when ggg was trying to get top fighters. Why should ggg reward that garbage for a guy with literally zero good wins.
GGG isn’t inbthe same position as when he was getting to the top fighters. Now he needs to maximize his money. Andrade literally said he wanted ggg only when it’d be a mega ppv. Yet ggg is seen to have two 12 round fights and suddenly Andrade game.
**** that, he needs to do something. GGG would only get a little credit for beating him when Max and Roy would say well Andrade never truly fought anyone.
May as well get paid if the same credit is divided out.

The Charlo twins are usually the loudest on social media and now that GGG needs a good replacement they are quiet?
Maybe I am just missing something.

Honestly, these are exactly the circumstances where Golovkin, or any fighter, gets a pass in his opponent.
He won't know for sure Canelo is out until April 18. That means he has spent 9 weeks training for Canelo, and has only one week left to prepare for someone else.
Given how little time he has to prepare for someone else, O'Sullivan, who is ranked in the top ten by three bodies is honestly a good opponent.
Fighting anyone other than a fighter who is a lot like Canelo is a huge ask. Fighting a southpaw instead of an orthodox fighter is insane. Southpaw fighters train to face orthodox fighters their whole career, that's why they have the edge, even when the orthodox fighter has 10 weeks and sparring partners to prepare.
Could he fight Andrade and win on no training? Maybe. But it would be professional negligence for his promoter and trainer to allow him too. HBO doesn't like Andrade, obviously, so even if everyone was game, they still could not fight.

Derevyanchenko would be the best choice. Andrade second... Nobody wants to see Sullivan get hammered.
