WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (33-0, 32KOs) is still very much a work in progress, says his co-manager Shelly Finkel. After last Saturday's world title win over Bermane Stiverne, the hype began growing for a fight between Wilder and WBO/WBA/IBO/IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko. Finkel, who manages Wilder with Al Haymon and Jay Deas, also works closely with Klitschko.

Yes the article quoting Shelly Finkel is of January 25, a few days removed from when Deontay defeated Bermane while suffering injury ; as someone in charge of Deontay's career you would not expect to see your boxer fight in a unification just after surgery -- common sense.

Facts. Even the casual fans in the UK who love AJ would call for the Wilder fight if he knocks out Whyte.

Exposure does a lot, I have seen casuals who didn't have a clue who Povetkin was before Saturday calling for AJ to fight him next after that brutal knockout of Price.

I wonder why Shirley Winkle didn't mention Deontay's surgery there?

Maybe because it didn't happen till 18 months later, after Wilder fought the very dangerous "Fat Chris"Arreola?

After beating Stifferne in Jan, Wilder fought Molina in June and Duhaupas in Sept, all 2015. There was no reason why he couldn't fight Wlad except the reason given by Shirley in that statement - they didn't want it!

You haven't been following Deontay's career like I have kafkod, Wilder has had numerous hand injuries : yes after Arreola Wilder required a operation because be bent pins that were already there...hmmm I wonder what that means? could it be he had a prior injury?

He fractured his hand in the first Stiverne fight the X-rays proves this, stop playing with me.

He didn't have surgery after the first Stiverne fight and he did have 2 more fights after that while Wlad was still champion.

And Wlad wouldn't even have needed to fight Fury if Wilder had been willing to unify against him, as you well know.

Stop playing games and making up excuses.

Wilder's own manager gave the reasons why he wouldn't unify with Wlad in that article - "He's still a baby" "He's not ready for Wlad"

Then Hoeshua will say he softened Parker up for Wilder, sloppy seconds. That team has a bag of excuses.

Using bold characters is enough proof -- lets ignore common sense ; documented reports from multiple sources, X-Rays, pins in his hands prior to Arreola lmao!

He took on Molina just for this reason alone! Thats another reason Molina went the distance :

Deontay Wilder (37-0, 36 KOs) has broken his right hand at least three times in the past seven years. He had metal pins inserted after an injury he suffered in his seventh professional fight, a 90-second stoppage of Travis Allen in August 2009. Wilder then re-fractured the hand against Bermane Stiverne in January 2015, when he won the world title with a unanimous decision.

I'm never watching a fight involving Joseph Parker again.

Nothing but 12 round snooze fests

Vs. Ruiz, Cojanu, Fury and Joshua

The guy has a boring style of fighting, especially for a Heavyweight.

Wilder should stay away from Parker, Parker might bore him to sleep and win a boring decision over him.

Wilder 's key to beating Joshua is hitting him on the chin. Night, night!
