Why are people not giving Joseph Parker his props. The guy made Joshua look bad. Take nothing away from Joshua, he did what he was allowed to do to get the win. Parker was just too smart, too slick, too fast and too clever to be caught by huge shots. Joshua tried all his uppercuts but Parker saw them coming. By the time those shots came Parker was gone like a cat. Joshua tried to push Parker to the ropes and cut the ring, not against Parker, he moved like a young Mayweather.

I'm now a biog fan of Parker and he will beat most heavyweights, what a worthy champion he was. As for Joshua, we will see how he deals with Wilder. That could just be another boxing match.

This was the story of the fight. I don’t know if it was incompetence or the referee was bought off.
But he made it a boring fight. He kept it from being a war. I guess Parker made a mistake by telegraphing his plans for the fight.
Who would the ref have been bought off by?

If you’re insinuating AJ’s people, I’d point out the ref breaking up the action benefitted Parker more.
During those clinches AJ was the one constantly trying to fire off shots while Parker was looking to hold.

And I’d put my money on Parker being the one coming off worse if they’d been allowed to fight it out.

It only takes a boxing brain to understand what AJ did, Parker made the fight dull as he ran all night. The fight became a puzzle and AJ just maintained his cool as he added yet anoda WBO to his collections....... Wilder is obliged to come to Wembley if he's to be rich.

A persons past is a persons past! No need to dwell on that, the "present" is actually a "present" to grow into something better! AJs no different, multitudes have turned from a life of crime and are capable decent contributing citizens...On another note, AJ did what he had to do against a "champion" - it was both tactical and boring at the same time and thats jus how some fights go....He's also proved he's good for boxing, he takes the sport seriously, is sociable/personable, can fight, and looks like what a heavyweight champion should look like! A good lookin' celebrity thats overall good for impressionable young kids and adoring females.

But a champion is a champion for a reason. the belts arent a fashion statement to show off in the ring after fighting guys your promoter picks for you.......and there is no more excuse room for all this "work in progress" CRAP, especially when u have the belts in your possession, then compare yourself to Lennox, talk about a museum in your honor, brag youre gonna KO the last standing champ then conversely be SCARED to death of giving him his WELL DESERVED shot......

Real champions fight anyone anywhere! Growing in skill set is your business, where youre at concerning that is btwn you, your trainer, and your mommy. Your opponent doesnt need to CARE or be impressed with your "humble" declarations on what youre working on - you simply NEED to BE READY & AVAILABLE as a CHAMPION! So all the SILLY self effacing talk doesnt impress anyone but vulnerable chicks and the writer of this piece......and is more evasive excuse talk to convince Hearn to wait a while longer.....

"Parker didnt come to win he fought to not get knocked out." True

Finally an article that gets it. Won't stop the hater trolls but whatever gets them off.

AJ was firing punches after the ref had called them to stop ya moron.

I'd put money on parker coming off better if they were allowed to fight. Shorter arms, faster, better combos etc
