        I thought the scores were too wide but the right man won.
        I get the feeling the ref was paid off to stop any inside fighting which would have favoured Parker.

              I dunno about paid off, I just think he was inexperienced. A good referee will know sometimes not to intervene when rules are being broken unless it's flagrant cheating to keep the match exciting, whereas a less experienced ref will stick to the strict letter of the law and interrupt at the slightest hint of a breach of the rules. I find that this actually goes for most sports with referees, not just boxing.
