"I think Wilder would come over here [the UK] because in the world we live in, in boxing, the couple of million dollars Wilder is getting for a fight is pretty small fry in comparison to the rewards that await him for a Joshua fight.
"I think negotiations will start next week."
Barry's son and Matchroom company head, Eddie Hearn, taunted the Wilder camp after Joshua's unanimous points win over New Zealander Parker at a packed Principality Stadium.
"They don't want it. They've never approached us," he said.
"AJ's fought all the champions and won all the belts. After 21 fights he has the chance to be undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.
"Deontay Wilder's people don't contact us and they don't want to know. If they don't walk the walk, they can't talk the talk."Barry Hearn thinks talks over a world heavyweight title unification fight between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder could get under way next week. Joshua added the WBO belt to his IBF, IBO and WBA straps by beating Joseph Parker in Cardiff on Saturday. Nearly 80,000 fans were cheering Joshua on at Principality Stadium.

Hey, if you wanna claim him as British, even though he left when he was 11, and didn't come back until '88/'89, to start his pro career, it's cool! I get it! When did he start boxing? Did Canadians train him? Did Jamaicans train him? I guess Americans can claim a lot more fighters than I thought! A lot of fighters come here to become professional fighters! In my eyes, Lennox is a RASTA! He fought for one flag all along! One Aim, One GOD, and One Destiny!Comment

wilder will need to accept the fight will be here at wembley stadium in the summer....your judging cannot be trusted and your home cooking refereeing ......we saw that with lewis gainst holyfield .....wilder getting help by the ref at the start of round 8 against ortiz after being on ***** street.....joshua is the money man in this fight its that simple son so i hope wilder accepts what hearn and joshua offer...then then wilder can have the rematch in the states
And also so he can stay close to his peds dealer's and all the people that are helping him cheat the drug testing.Comment

February 7, 2004:
"Boxing's done so much for me," he said. "Now I'm retiring out of respect for the sport. It's time for the younger generation to make their own route to be champion of the world. The challenge is out there for them.
"I'm looking forward to seeing the next era of boxers perform - I'm probably going to wish I was in there because boxing is a sport I've done for most of my life. I will miss it. As my mother said, it's in my blood, and it will be for a long time, but it's time for someone to make his mark."
And with that he thanked "my adopted country, Canada, my native country, Jamaica, and the country I was born in, England" as well as his fans around the world, before signing off with: "Let the next era begin - thank you."
