Orchestrated and stage managed from start to finish, might as well have been WWE. Hearn is doing everything in his power to turn Joshua into a mega-star despite his glaring lack of elite talent - apparently looks and abs is all it takes these days. Risk was managed as well as it could be within the fight itself by the absurd reffing denying Parker what few opportunities he could generate on the inside and making sure Joshua could catch a breather whenever he looked like he might be in momentary difficulties.

Allowing Wilder into the ring would have introduced an element of chance into the proceedings which I think Slick Eddie didn't want at all. Doesn't matter which of the fighters you prefer in the ring, but there's no question (IMO at least) that Wilder has the more colourful and charismatic persona, and may well have left Joshua looking tongue tied and foolish. That was never gonna be allowed to happen.

        Awful thread Larry

Didn’t take you for liar who backs Uber cherry pickers and don’t give respect to a man who has won belts in only 21 fights

Why didn’t wilder do that ?

Both are deeply flawed fighters IMO. Joshua is unimaginative and textbook predictable, Wilder is... well... wilder, has sloppy technique and takes waaay to many risks with his defense, although his dynamism might leave Joshua swinging at air most of the night. Whatever, it only takes one from either to end it.

EDIT: Just to clarify though, I quite like both guys, and while I find all the BS around the promotion distasteful, I'm kinda torn cos I also think that anything raising the profile of the sport is a positive.

Of course. That's why Wilder didn't come & talk **** to Hearn & AJ to their faces.

That's what you think. He went to school there in his early years.

You and Wilder have no connection to there. Don't put Joshua in the same boat.

                  Go play house, East African.

I notice Joshua was going after all the top options in the division while that Alabama boy was playing house. What turned me of from Wilder was that Arreola fight. That fight was a great example of playing house.

**** that n*gga! I hope he lose soon. I will never root for him.

Yep just make the facts up as you see fit guys haha. Here's the thing, when you never have a positive thing to say about a fighter, no one is going to take your opinion seriously.

The fact that Joshua quoted Dillian Whyte in a comical way, obviously went over both your heads, and to make matters worse, all he said was Wilder or Fury when asked who he would like next. As well as sign the damn contract if you are serious.

                    Some serious **** talking there.

Posters read the whole situation how they want

6 months of boring chat before Wilder.

AJ a man with just 21 fights, an Olympic Gold medal after being suspended in 2011, has 3 versions of the world title, 2 unification bouts and 6 title fights who fights in front of 80,000 people is a coward apparently.

Some posters have zero self awareness and just emotionally led.

I can't imagine myself saying something like that about Wilder.
