My Take On Wilder's "Catch A Body" Statement

Are we watching boxing or golf?

We're fans of a sport where the primary objective is to pummel another mofos skull as hard and as often as you can.

So you're entertained when guys punch each other in the head but Wilder's comments offend you? you should be offended by the whole damn sport if thats the case. and you should be advocating a ban, not watching whatsoever.

This is a sport where fighters that are cautious and overly technical are booed out the building. A sport where referees get shredded to pieces for stopping a fight "prematurely". A sport where a fight can only get FOTY honors if it involves constant exchanges and punishment. a defensive masterpiece shutout will NEVER get FOTY recognition.

Kovalev said he was gonna end Ward's career prior to their rematch. Where was the outrage? how else do you end a career other than death or permanently disabling a mofo. and this coming from a guy already with a dead body on his resume.

Tyson said he wanted to push an opponents nose bone up his brain. That comment was used to enhance his persona not criticise it.

What about when a boxer says "I'm ready to die in the ring". Why is that always seen as macho warrior talk? that should be just as controversial as Wilder's comments. and if a guy willing to die in the ring doesn't bother you why are you upset over a guy willing to kill?

And Suleiman/WBC once again showing the world their corruption. notice the stance Suleiman took about Wilder's comments and his stance with Canelo. are Wilder's statements more offensive than a guy failing two PED tests? Explain that.

In a sport where fans cherish and celebrate wars and bloodbaths how TF is anybody offended by Wilder's statement. Miss me with the fake outrage.

Now you got AJ fangirls calling for him to be stripped. I guess they don't want Joshua to be that body. scary Fcks.

There's been a few recent deaths in the ring. Saying shit like that is disgusting and ******ed. Wilder is so desperate for attention he'll say anything.

Not the 1st he has said it. To the folks calling this a figure of speech, its not, Wilder wants to actully take a life.
The figure of speech counter argument is just a cop out due to negative attention.

I thought he explained it well in the interview. "The Bronze Bomber wants a body, Deontay would feel bad about it". It was some alter ego like statement between him & who he's gotta be in the ring. Personally I think anyone who's performing at their absolute best HAS to be in a kill or be killed mode.

But even if thats the case I don't think most boxers would word it quite like that even if they are exactly like that themselves.

That said its comical the WBC Guy keeps trying to talk about ethics in boxing with all the bs & corruption him & his ABC Group brothers are on.

Don't worry, remember when they were screaming that they had the most world champions and none of them were lineal. Whats the count now? That talk will all go if Joshua loses tonight. WBC is going from mad to worse. Soon title organizations won't matter in boxing anymore.

No need to justify comments like that. It was in bad taste at least some of us can agree. This sport is no joke, we want each boxer to go home to their families at the end of the day, alter ego or not there is zero needs for those sort of comments, am sure he wants publicity so he is doing everything to be known, as a fan of the sport I wouldn’t justify or defend these comments.
