I think they mighta been only considering doing something about this or even sweeping it under the rug til that moment. If you remember back on that EVERYONE was defending Canelo up til that point & honestly as a guy who's seen this all before I wouldn't have been shocked if it did get swept under the rug.
Not saying its for sure like that, but I KNOW that GGG's outburst at a minimum got the NSAC backed into a corner with what they could do & how soon they needed to be doing something. I could see Canelo holding a grudge for that.Comment

I think theres a solid argument to make if GGG hadn't had that very-un-GGG-like outburst which resulted in the NSAC calling in all parties within 24hrs which ultimately led to where we are now.

that was a smart move by ggg to put canelo on blast like that.
So its not like GGG should be celebrating that hard about this. He took an L here to just in a different way.Comment

GGG Vs Jaime Munguia
HBO PPV and most likely at Mandalay Bay
Great move! and Cong**** to all involved - Close that deal!

🤔 An offer has been made to Mexican light middleweight prospect Jaime Munguia about replacing Canelo on May 5th. The 21-year-old is currently ranked #6 in the WBO and #8 by the WBC. With the fight likely to still take place on HBO PPV, I can't see anyone happy to pay $70 for it.

**** Canelo he's a maggot and a blight on the boxing scene. The catalyst for the intervention by NSAC started well before Golovkin finally spoke up. Montero at the post fight presser grilling Bob Bennett about the scoring. Teddy Atlas going nuclear on camera, Sanchez complaining about the handwraps and finally Golovkin standing up for himself. I always thought chasing Canelo was ******. So screw Canelo as far as I'm concerned.Comment
