I actually believe PED's make lesser advantages than I feel like most think. I think lotsa fans think PED's give you superpowers damn near.
But me I think maybe a PED makes you 2%-8% better maybe or something along those lines. But a 2%-8% increase when you are at the elite level is huge. And when its vs a guy far lesser than you thats a whole other variable too.
That said I guess the main thing is we've seen Povetkin when he's tested & when he's not & the eye test says there is a difference in him which is noticeable despite logically thinking that we shouldn't be seeing such a high difference between the PED'd up guy vs non-PED'd up same guy. But then again I believe with PEDs comes a confidence thing & I think guys who use PEDs are more confident in their chances & guys who've used PEDs & not using them currently are less confident in themselves which might come into play to.
Idk complicated topic cuz so much is unseen with PED usage & unknown still. Not like there has been many studies on PEDs in sports in regards to winning & losing & going on or coming off of PEDs.
I agree with that! But I don't thin Povetkin ever took anything illegal in the first place. Meldonium has always been legal until 2016. It was legal for 5 decades or more. So him taking it before that, doesn't make him a PED cheat. And Meldonium hasn't even been proven to be any more effective than some of the legal supplements / drugs out there that athletes use already at a regular basis.
I've actually followed Alexander Povetkin's entire career from his first fight. And trust me, he's been more or less the same boxer throughout. He's always had the same limitations and difficulties against taller opponents when it comes to hurting them and knocking them out. He's always had good stamina (outside the fights where he was physically ill and sick). But obviously, Meldonium was legal before 2016 so you might argue it was because of the Meldonium and I could just respond by claiming that he could use legal alternative supplements to replace Meldonium. And his power was always the same in my opinion.
Yes, he looked more impressive in some fights than others (when it comes to knockouts). But they are more down to a tactical change than a physical change. Povetkin, depending on who his trainer was at a given time, opted to box safely against certain opponents and opted to go for the KO against other opponents.
Not a chance of that you ***ing imbecile, but that vaunted one punch power will be there trust me. You dog nonce
So where was Povetkin's 'one punch power' against Mariusz Wach? Or did he somehow miraculously forgot to take it for that one fight? Even though he knocked Mike Perez out in 1 round in his last fight.
What is power based on? ANSWER = SIZE + SPEED.
Thus, how is Povetkin going to magically develop planet busting single punch power out of nowhere, if he still remains the same size and doesn't even develop any more speed in the first place? Ever thought about that ****** / imbecile?
Povetkin never KO'ed anybody taller than 6 foot 6 inches in height. Does that mean for all his fights against opponents of such a height, he purposefully avoided taking PED?
Earnwithhearn probably created a loophole for this fight to ensure povetkin can cycle and win emphatically to create maximum excitement for the AJ match up planned for later this year. Just my theory
