The racist majority would have supported watching Jack Johnson fight another black fighter for a substancial amount of money for the title that they believed belonged to a white fighter? You're joking, right?

Your reading what you want to see in what I said. I said it would do well financially because it would. Why? Because they hated him on a personal level that much. They wanted him to lose. Preferably to a white fighter but a lose to a black fighter that they deemed non threatening they could rationalize. Remember Mohammed Ali/Cassius Clay. A lot of White guys got behind Frazier because they hated Ali and they thought Frazier had a good shot at beating him. They weren't in love with Frazier. It wasn't just because Ali was black but he also dared to be his own man and speak his mind on any subject and in any way it pleased him. They couldn't take it. He had to go. A lot of those same dynamics were in play at that time. He wouldn't make as much money fighting another Black fighter true but he would have done well. It's all about the money and hanging on to what you worked for.

Ok, this is the wrong venue for this conversation, but I asked you before what you are basing your opinion on, and then you never replied. So I'll ask again. What are you basing your information on? I don't mean you just guessing based on Ali vs. Frazier, which is apples vs. oranges. I can easily find sources that say Johnson accepted to fight McVey for $30,000 and the fight was canceled because they couldn't get the money in due to lack of interest.

He never said ignore the test. He simply said keep testing up until the fight so that it's certain Canelo is going into the fight CLEAN.

This was trace amounts of Clenbuterol, which improves breathing and helps you lose weight. He had about, what, 12 days of training with two whole months before the fight at this point. A WADA specialist says the amount is consistent with tainted meat, and another specialist says he received no benefit from such a small amount of Clen, much less receiving a benefit from it 2 whole months later.

The plan was already to do what Mayweather suggested. Rev up the testing to make certain that he goes into the fight clean. As it stands right now, there is no way of knowing if he did this maliciously or if it were a mistake, and that's why the plan was to do what Mayweather is suggesting, pending the hearing, of course.

That's why this statement was much ado about nothing. The only problem was a few PacRoaches went off on it....only to be caught out there saying the same exact thing. I can understand someone saying that if you're caught, no matter what, you should not be allowed to fight. No problem. But what I can't understand is someone who says he should be allowed to fight (and stating that they definitively believe Canelo was cheating), and then going back and saying Mayweather is wrong for his statement but they are not. Testing up until the fight? I'm sorry but that's incredibly ignorant to the subject of PEDs.

These guys don't do it 7 days before the fight, they do it 6-8-10 weeks out.
