  • Why does Bud get all these passes?

Other fighters, most notably Julio Ceaser Chavez Jr. and Canelo, have received plenty of criticism for putting on close to 20 pounds from weigh-in to the fight. That’s not fair and they should have to fight people their own size was common talk. Bud puts on close to 20 pounds from weigh-in to fight. Just as bad as Chavez Jr. was, but no one says anything about it.

Bud isn’t naturally smaller than the top welterweights, he just drained himself to stay in weak divisions. In April 2015, DSG fought Peterson at a catchweight of 143, with DSG saying he was staying at welterweight, after failing to make 140 the previous fight. Bud had his first fight at 140 a week later.

Bud’s toughest opponents are probably Postol and Diaz. Maybe Indongo. Is that better than any of the following?

    Thurman: DSG and Porter
DSG: Khan, Matthysse, Thurman while all were ranked #1 in the division
    Porter: Brook and Thurman
Spence: Peterson and Brook (in England)
Broner: Maidana, Porter, and Mikey Garcia
    Brook: Porter, G, and Spence
    Khan: DSG, Peterson, and Canelo

Right there are seven fighters. All that weigh close to the same as Crawford does in the ring. All except Khan and Brook (both just one year older) are younger Bud. All, win or lose, fought better opposition than Bud.

Other fighters who have fought better opposition have been called duckers and cherry pickers by many. Others who put on the same amount of weight from weigh-in until fight have been criticized harshly for it. Why not Bud?

If you haven't noticed, Crawford went up a weight class. Sooooo..... your post is a year late.

well Crawford has apparently moved to ww, so shouldn't be a weight bully now. I agree about the resume thing tho. "how is ggg p4p, he fought nobody... Crawford p4p #1 doe"...

many of the same posters who want to objectively dissect ggg or loma's p4p credentials seem to give bud a pass.

There are some people who, no matter who a boxer beats, will always question their resume.

          Like this:

"Ali never fought anyone good. Foreman was one-dimensional. Frazier was undersized. Then when he finally fought a decent boxer in Holmes he got his but kicked!"

I'm sorry, Boxrec and the Internet still say Bud has never fought above 140. When was this? And if he is a ww and has been for a year, doesn't that make his resume even that much weaker?

Ain't saying Bud ain't great, but he put on 20 pounds to beat guys like Postol, whereas Thurman was fighting DSG and Porter and Spence was beating guys like Peterson and breaking Brook's face.

If Bud is a ww and has been for a year, then why just now? And why Horn? He is saying he fights whoever he wants, he makes the decisions. And so far he has chosen Postol and Diaz. And now Horn? While even Broner and Khan have fought much tougher opponents. Yes, they lost, but they could have taken easy fights and stayed ranked high.

Some idiots will compare Frazier and Foreman with Postol and Feliz Diaz.

Just tell me, out of those seven fighters listed, who's opposition is worse than Bud's? No, no one can name 7 guys Ali's own size who had better resumes than he did. Ever. Let alone 7 at the same time as him.

People put guys as great off beating a bunch of no ones. "Cherry" Garcia has fought much better opposition than Bud has. And he is younger. If Postol and Indongo are like Frazier and Foreman, who are Peterson and Brook like?

FFS, the guy has a fight scheduled at 147lbs. You sound really delusional... I'll just let you live in your own little world and figure this out on your own.

Because one bud went up more than one weight division and as far as loma its the amount of fights as well as the only threat he fought was over the hill and moved up 2 divisions. Loma is the truth though he fights in an “urban” style lol. Ggg is good but way overrated gwh. He also had chances to prove greatness but even his greatest wins are former 154lb mid teir fighters. Then when he stepped up in class he no longer looked like a monster. Bud and Loma are official until they’re proven wrong as they rise in weight GGG has not solidified himself after stepping up wether you think he beat canelo or not.

Ok, you probably want to let ESPN, The Ring, TBRB, and everyone else who does rankings. Because right now, they are all as delusional as me and don't have him ranked at welterweight. It seems they don't rank someone on what they say or schedule but on what they actually do.

Its not that hard. No one has Bud ranked as a ww except you. That is the definition of being delusional. Everyone else ranks fighters for the divisions they fight in, not ones they are supposed to fight in. Its the same with records, he doesn't get credit for beating Thurman and Spence just because he says he can. Talking and doing are two very different things.

I see you have trouble differentiating the two. I'd help you if I could, but you can't fix ******.
