Instead of bringing through a load of new fighters, Hearn did what Warren couldn’t do with the likes of Brook, Bellew, and what Fat Mick couldn’t do with Froch, give them cross over appeal and make them into stars.

Boxing was a niche sport whilst Warren was fannying about with cards headlined by Nicky Cook and whilst Mick Hennessy had Carl Froch defend against Jermaine Taylor with no UK TV coverage. It’s now one of the biggest sports in the UK.

Sky are definitely a big factor in those fighter’s success, but let’s not pretend that Warren and the likes would have done anywhere near as good because he didn’t, Brook and Bellew are much bigger names with Hearn.

Take Calzaghe for fùck sake, look at some of the shít he was put in with, and even so he never got the box office money that Froch got with Hearn.
