You should ask bigpoppapump. It might fit in the history section. Is it OK to post items on here or is there a special page for that? I have some posters, signed boxing cards, programs, magazines, books, and many other items that I sell off with proceeds go to former champions in need, the two most recent and in need being Gerald McClellan and Wilfred Benitez. Can that be done right here or is there a spcial page on the board for that type thing???Comment

A lot of fighters, on their way up or in their prime, are mean persons – otherwise they hadn’t chose boxing.
But most of them have a tendency to calm down – when the testosterone levels decline and they’re getting older and more mature. Turning into civilized human beings.Comment

I dunno whether you know what this sick b*stard did, but go look up Gerald’s sociopathic treatment of animals amongst other things, the man is a vile human being. I have no sympathy for him.A lot of fighters, on their way up or in their prime, are mean persons – otherwise they hadn’t chose boxing.

That’s fantastic man, I’d happily help raise support for Benitez. It’s incredibly sad that he has such a degenerative brain condition. How was he when you met him? You read various stories in the media but it’s hard to distinguish what is credible.Comment

Yes, I know. But boxing itself tells us that the highest achievement is to knock another human being unconscious.
Most of us would feel uncomfortable doing it ourselves. Still, we praise the sport, and enjoy watching when others do it.
We followers ain’t the nicest people either.Comment

don't be an idiot. Us prizefighters aren't all crazy violent psychopaths who can't control ourselves, we chose a sport. You probably think anyone who does archery is going to shoot up a school.Yes, I know. But boxing itself tells us that the highest achievement is to knock another human being unconscious.
