Exactly!!! This was ALWAYS a 50/50 fight... I expect the rematch to be even better. If Canelo cheated now he cant so will/should be clean.

But if he used it for going all Maidana after the GGG fight??? It helped a lot.

That's the thing. Without GGG, Canelo doesn't have a middleweight PPV fight that goes over 450k buys. Not with this decline in fan sentiment and tactics that have rubbed all boxing fans and even those by-chance fans in the wrong way.

And you're right. Jacobs is an absolute matchup nightmare for Canelo. Tall, strong, long reach, great mobility, high IQ, patient and athletic as they come.

Talk about a huge step back. He would be better off fighting Eubank Jr who already beat Spike. Or trying to get Brook at 160. Or even Lemieux.
