  • Wilder should just fight Martin next. IBF has ordered Pulev/Breazeale, which may also affect the WBC rankings. Whyte could fight Ortiz, Takam, or the Bellew/Haye winner.

Wilder and Haymon are getting the Floyd treatment right now. They are the B-side, they have no leverage in negotiations. Floyd earned 30+ million and called the shots while offering his opponents 10% of what he earned. Why should Wilder get more than 10% when that is what he earns compared to Joshua?
I expect fighters to put money first. Not fans.

Well, right now tw of the best HWs are about to compete, Joshua vs Parker, so you should be happy. Blame Wilder if he continues to price himself out, not the fans.

Ahhh the price out. The go to statement for those who don't want to admit that they want to see Wilder Joshua next and that if it doesn't happen Hearn and Joshua must foot some of the blame. Fanagers!

            • Ortiz was Joshua's mandatory before the failed test. Wilder fought him to get him out the way and prove that he is willing to face anyone. How can anyone be mad at anything he has done or said in the past year. If I'm Wilder I take some more pieces off the board if they continue to delay the fight. Fury will have his comeback fight and then he may face Briggs, so after that he can go for that fight if Joshua doesn't come to the table. Whyte vs Ortiz would be a great fight or co-feature to a Wilder vs Joshua fight. Also don't forget about Povetkin who will be Joshua's mandatory too as long as he wins his next fight. If the fight doesn't happen next then it won't happen for a while. Pulev vs Breazeale could be for a title shot too.

You just said you expect fighters to argue over money. Well, that is what they are doing. Wilder came in high and Joshua, the guy he earns ten times as much as him, told him to be realistic. Who holds the leverage right now in negotiations? AJ or Wilder?

There has been no formal offers sent by Hearn or Dibella. Someone needs to start real negotiations instead of lobbing media grenades.

I thought it was 3-4 mil $$ to fight Whyte, then Joshua next. And Wilder wouldn't go over to England to fight Whyte, instead fought a voluntary. Maybe I missed something somewhere.
