Look at the big picture. Wilder who earned his highest purse last fight of 2 mil is asking for 40% and 50% from a guy that earns 20 mil+. If you don't see a problem with that then you have no sense.

You are stating subjective opinion of Wilder getting better as an undeniable fact. That is what makes no sense. I for one do not agree he is getting better much. Still same windmill he was 5 fights ago. Yes, he is absolutely ferocious puncher, but that's all that he was, is and at his age very likely to be going forward. A good boxer fighting him smart on the inside with good defence has a very good chance to take that green belt. And who isn't a hundred years old. Ortiz almost pulled it off, Wilder was literally saved by the bell.
