What kind of **** move is that? Whyte is nothing to do with Joshua apart from the same promoter, that is some disrespectful **** right there to do to someone (make them a makeweight in a deal), no, Whyte and Hearn believe he beats Wilder (accept that, he will back him like he does every fighter, and your make believe contracts and making Whyte the carrot in ANY deal will NEVER happen) he is the WBC #1 and coming into his prime. He is on his OWN journey. Why are you disrespecting people now that you have a guy you like and want to get the big fight? What about Whyte? does he not deserve a shot now? What about Wilder previous 6 fights!???? lol

Why are you so against Wilder fighting a legit #1 guy? because it suits the narrative of AJ ducking Wilder (he's fighting Saturday and actually making moves to unify the division which Wilder claims to want to do but never has come close to).

Hypocrisy at its finest. You are really quite bias on here. You think Wilder is now the solidified #2 after beating an old Ortiz, he done nothing before that, NOTHING!

There's numerous HW's out there that will beat Wilder, and at least 2 CW's. Wilder is the most protected and built-up HW's out there. And he is terrible at boxing!

Nothing else to add. No defence given by Wilder fans.

    End thread.

I don't see this as being unreasonable at all. They can work on a deal for Whyte and Joshua. Eddie Hearn can make the Joshua vs. Miller fight and Whyte can fight Wilder and then after that Joshua vs. Wilder.

This sounds good to me. Make the move Eddie, get it done!

It'll never happen. Scenario being they make the Wilder v Whyte fight & get Joshua guaranteed as the next fight on the contract. Then Wilder and Whyte stink up the joint, Wilder looks terrible or gets a bad injury and needs months to recover, or its a contentious decision... but they've got a contract saying that if Wilder wins, he gets Joshua next...what happens then?

Ok so you could overcome this with various clauses, terms, conditions etc... but how difficult are they to negotiate? Especially being as you'd need a watertight contract to cover every eventuality. Say Wilder ends up out injured and needs 9 months to recover before starting camp. Can Joshua fight someone else? What if Joshua then loses?

You've seen how long it took to make the Parker fight, now you want to negotiate two fights at once?

Hearn is many things, but he's not a moron or a bad businessman. He's not about to risk ending up in court over a silly deal with his prime money making asset sidelined in the meantime, regardless of how much boxing fans want to see Wilder v AJ.

I respect Wilder as a champion, but that's not a champion move. Needs to put the full court press on Hearn and AJ. He doesn't need that fight first. This is like Steph Curry telling Lebron, "Yeah sure we'll play you in the finals again, but only if you beat the Hawks AFTER winning the eastern conference championship. I think AJ wants him next but Hearn (who's my favorite promoter because he's hilarious) is up to his diva tactics. He's the pretty girl at school lol.

It wouldn't matter ,Wilder takes a fight months from now , a mandatory will be issued soon anyway . That leaves about 2 fights of stretching room before he has to fight Whyte ( possibly ). If Wilder plays games here , Hearn will just sit back and wait it out ,its no loss for him . Joshua has Povetkin , Pulev , Whyte (rematch ) , Miller ,as possible opponents that will sell.

Who is Wilder going to actually fight in the WBC ? Martin ? Another top WBC guy ,another Joshua victim?

Wilder needs to fire his advisors bc they suck ....lol

No one gives a f4ck about whytes crappy piss poor career. And we definitely don't need it getting in the way of the fight of the decade. everyone except you and hearn want this fight. It's the only fight to make.

                It's the exact opposite.
If Whyte becomes mandatory to his title, then Hearn has no obligation to guarantee Wilder anything.
Funny part is Hearn doesn't really even have to offer Wilder anything, which includes the $3.5 mil plus US upside.
Haymon and Showtime will be main promoters in this case.
Which will guarantee Wilder his regular $1 mil paycheck.
                Yuk!
Meaning, Wilder should have taken the Whyte offer by Hearn months ago.
Nope. Worst case...purse bid. Hearn would then bid high to get the fight in the UK. Wilder as champ gets the lionshare. Or Dibella wins the bid, does the fight in NY, makes money by selling Sky Sports broadcasting rights. Wilder gets his usual 2.5 mil plus a cut of the money Dibella makes from Sky.

Either way Wilder gets paid for putting Whyte to sleep.

[QUOTE=Motorcity Cobra;18615069]No it's not. Even when his mandatory comes due the WBC will call a negotiation date and the fight to be made within 90 days of that date. Remember they called the Povetkin mandatory in June and said negotiations were to begin in October and the fight be held in Jan? So you're looking at the mandatory to be called in November. Negotiations to start in Feb of 2019 and the fight to take place by May 2019.

If Stork legs doesn't start being reasonable with his demands for Joshua YOU WILL BE SEEING WILDER-WHYTE instead. That's the reality you dumb ****ing Wilder fans need to realise.

                      Beat Whyte then fight AJ.

Or, do NEITHER, withdraw from your Sky Sports commentary gig and sit in Alabama moaning about AJ not doing enough to make the fight.

                      What a fool.
Did you read the article? He will fight Whyte as long as Hearn puts in the contract that Joshua is next if he wins. And no, all financial and promotional terms do NOT have to be settled for that to happen. It's essentially a promise by both parties to negotiate in good faith.
