Don't know what this "backfire" thing Wilder is talking about.
It's the exact opposite.
If Whyte becomes mandatory to his title, then Hearn has no obligation to guarantee Wilder anything.
Funny part is Hearn doesn't really even have to offer Wilder anything, which includes the $3.5 mil plus US upside.
Haymon and Showtime will be main promoters in this case.
Which will guarantee Wilder his regular $1 mil paycheck.
Yuk!
Meaning, Wilder should have taken the Whyte offer by Hearn months ago.Last edited by rickJen; 03-28-2018, 05:14 PM.

Joshua can't force Wilder to fight. Whyte can.

AJ fight is then hyped, Wilder introduced to U.K. casuals, Wilder makes a career-high pay check.
Beat Whyte then fight AJ.
Or, do NEITHER, withdraw from your Sky Sports commentary gig and sit in Alabama moaning about AJ not doing enough to make the fight.
What a fool.

If Hearn and Joshua want to unify, what is the number they are willing to offer? Negotiations are two-way and the last I check the first ask is always greater than what you're willing to accept. How do we know that Hearns offer (if there is one) is reasonable.

I really hope Parker wins this weekend so everything will backfire on Hearn. People hated Floyd for his business moves but yet they praise AJ and Hearn for it, difference was that Floyd put in the work and worked his way to that level and wasn't handed to him based on being the countries savior. And yes there have been plenty of fights that guaranteed a fighter fighting the champ if they beat a certain fighter before that. Wilder beats Whyte, then Hearn gonna throw in that he needs to fight Bellew or Chisora next. Wilder should just do his own thing, fight the next available opponent till AJ and Hearn actually really want the fight instead of throwing other fighters in front of AJ.
