Wright in 4 consecutive fights has fought Mosley x2, Trinidad, and Soliman. Also, his fights with Mosley might've been after he lossed to Forrest.... but he had won the decision against ODLH. Also, Tito he hadn't come off a 2 year retirement. He had defeaten Mayoraga, then took on Wright.

In the first moseley fight and the Tito fight Winky was a decent underdog. He has proven more to the boxing public than JT... which is why he deserves this more in my eyes. JT was groomed and set up to be Middleweight Champ. Winky has had to scrap by to earn this.

Dude, Im trying to tell you that Im not doing this to boost Taylor up. You were talking about Winky. Taylor has never crossed my mind and he hasnt done much either besides the Hopkins wins.

You say that Mosley had just beat Oscar, but like I said, most thought he lost and that includes Mosley himself. Tito beat Mayorga. So what. Did you just see Mayorga's last fight? He might wouldve had problems beating Mayorga if the idiot didnt start clowning, putting his hands down, and letting Tito punch him for nothing.

Then he beat Soliman but he looked like **** in that fight. Everyone criticized him for that fight, so I know your not bringing that up. Look at Shanes record. He hasnt looked like **** in any fight since Vernon, until the Vargas fight but Vargas is also pretty much done

I disagree with that. Im going to say what I said in another thread. Were not talking about some average fighter or even a good fighter. Were talking about a guy who most have as pound for pound the 1st or 2nd best fighter in the world and if you are ranked that high then I dont want to hear any excuse about that style **** when you face C level fighters.

Soliman is not that good and if your the best of the best then you should make him look like ****, no matter what style he brings. If Floyd or any top guy fought like that against a guy like Soliman then they would be getting ripped all day on these boards.

Thats the whole point about being at the top of the pound for pound list. That no matter what someone brings at you, you can kick there ass, e****ally when its a average guy like Soliman

I do agree that ODLH won the fight, but it was still a competitive fight. Shane was far from shot. Forrest always had his number and, as a boxer and on a whole, Forrest was always underrated as a fighter. He was overshadowed by Vargas, ODLH, and Mosley.

The Tito fight I wasn't arguing why he beat Mayorga, but more to point out that he was hardly taken 2 years off then went straight to Winky. Winky would beat Tito at that weight at any point in their respectice careers most likely.

I see nothing to criticize about the Soliman fight other than the fact that Winky didn't knock him down or out since he had the chance. WHen you're defensive minded and you're fighting an opponent who's willing to throw 100+ punches a round it's going to look not all that impressive, despite landing a large % of your shots and visibly wobbling King at several points during the fight.

You can say that Shane wasnt shot but he just lost twice, you said he shouldve lost to Oscar, and then against Raul Marquez everyone thought he looked like ****. The 2 fights after Winky, before the Vargas fight he went the distance and struggled against average guys that he wouldve killed before the Forrest fight.

By the time he fought Winky, Shane was not the same guy who threw all those combos and you know it. People talked about it the whole fight about how he can only throw one punch now and as we see with Soliman, it was not because of Winky's defense.

I think your wrong about Soliman. Soliman landed alot in that fight, even bruised Winky's face up some, and won a good amount of rounds.

Look, Im not trying to dog Winky, as I think he could be the 2nd best in boxing but I also think he could be a bit of a fraud and this fight will tell alot of that but it wont tell that much because I think you can say the exact same about Taylor.

I'm not sure how he can be a fraud when looking at him and the rest of the Division. Who does he have to fight to not be a fraud? Beat a bigger fraud in JT?

Thats my point though. Its like, he reached his prime at a good/bad time because there's no elie guys out there and the guys he did beat in Mosley & Tito were on there way down.

I would actually like to see him fight a Oscar at 54 or a Karmazin. Maybe even a guy like Margarito who throws alot of punches. I think a prime Shane couldve gave Winky some probelms because one of the ways to beat a guy like him is to swarm him with punches but Shane could only throw one punch by then, but a guy like Margarito can throw all day. I still would favor Winky in all of those so its still hard to say.

I wouldnt mind seeing him against Quartey or Forrest if he can get a couple of fights. I actually thought Ouma would give him problems but we all know what happened there. If Winky was at 147 then it would be easier but if he beats Taylor then you have go give him credit.

One guy I really liked is Sturm, when he fought Oscar. Thats the only time Ive seen him but I wouldnt mind seeing him fight Winky. I think he could give Winky some problems with his size and long arms
