The only boxers that ran out of any divisions were the ones that heard it through the rumor mill that Donald Hoskins was coming up in weight.

Wright might be exagerating that he "ran them out of the division." However, to suggest he wasn't being ducked and avoided would be crazy. Winky doesn't have to be humble. It's his time to shine after years and years in obscurity to the general public and it's deep pockets. Go Wright.

Its what I always say about guys like Paulie. All these fighters talk ****, but some are just more flashy then others.

Winky always brags, Tszyu always talked about how he would hurt guys and Knock them out, even Hatton talks trash about how he is the best out there and so on. All these guys talk and I dont see a problem with it.

Thats why I love boxing, because its the #1 sport where guys arent choir boys. You can still be humble but be confident. Again, I would love to see anyone come out in public and talk trash about Kobe. How great would it be if Wade said "Kobe is good but Im the best and he knows that". Then the next time they play, everyone would watch and it would be so exciting.

Thats what I would love to see in all sports. Not from everyone but you have to have some mouthy guys

He might not have to be humble but he still only has a couple of big wins and they are suspect, so if he doesnt win this fight then people will be looking at him very diffent and calling him overrated

I don't think anybody has the right to call any of Wright's big-name wins "suspect". He boxed the piss out of every last one of them and deserves the credit that comes with it.

As opposed to Taylor with his steller resume' and obvious wins? Bwa hahahaha. Everything is relative.... and in this fight Wright is clearly the one who's proven more. If Winky loses it's not because he's overrated, but because JT is actually that good.

For you last 2 guys, I wasnt talking about Taylor because you were talking about Winky.

Winky only has 2 real good wins and they were over Mosley who just came off of 2 dominating losses to Forrest, a horrible looking fight against Marquez, and a win against Oscar in which everyone thinks he lost. He hasnt looked like crap since Forrest and he was much smaller then Winky. Then you have Tito who had just come off of a 2 year retirment and he just got completley dominated 2 fights before. Those arent super wins no matter what way you try to spin it

I don't have a problem with a fighter being loud, and very confident, infact i like that in a figher, thats a great mentality to have, "the im better then you mentality".

Reason i made this thread is because i told people winky is loud, is not humble, he a fighter and he acts like a fighter, maybe not all the time but i knew for a fact winky was not a humble fighter. He loud in his won way and today the rest of the boxing world saw what i already knew about winky.

and i aggree it would be great for othe athlets to talk trash but they are not allowed, in boxing your almost expected to because boxing is a brutal sport and thats how the mainstream audience see boxing, which is why i belive parents move their kids away from boxing and into other sports. And i think the amature is great for kids and is very safe for kids.
