If I was a promoter I'd be trying to get my fighters on as many networks as possible. Think about how much easier it would be to build a star and make your guy a household name if your guys could be on every channel instead of being tied to one network exclusively.

Boxing would be in a way better place right now if it was structured like the NBA or NFL where everyone is on the same channels. There would be no more of the "network issues" B.S. preventing good fights (though we'd still have promoter issues). It just would be nice to see some of these SHO guys on HBO, HBO guys on SHO or a mixed card of HBO & SHO fighters. I know none of this will ever happen, just wishful thinking but damn...

What's wrong with a champ wanting to fight another champ?
...and what do you call a champ, refusing to fight another champ?

Miller, Whyte rematch, and Fury will be there for AJ win or lose.

I understand AJ should take the best deal he gets and have no issue with that. Just want to see the fight. I don't think it happens next if AJ goes to HBO.
I don't think it happens if AJ goes to HBO either. People are thinking Mayweather vs. Pacquiao, but AJ and Wilder don't do PPV numbers like those 2 giants! I'm also waiting to see if Mikey re-ups with SHO!

Why would someone pick up Khan vs Lo Greco instead of Frampton vs Donaire?

When Eddie speaks about brand building, he's talking about hbo, cause of their historic past with boxers, but that era is over, hbo doesn't build boxers anymore that transcend sports, they had Oscar manny and Floyd, after those three, no one else can transcend American sports and be recognized anywhere they go, GGG is big in boxing but outside, he doesn't get the same recognition as people make it out to be

So Eddie might try to swing him to hbo, but it may not work out, he's better off talking to espn, if not staying loyal to showtime

Imo, stay with showtime, they are owned by cbs and can deliver network television fights

Who can beat network television exposure

              Network>>>cable

Any chance he can negotiate a fight by fight contract? Highest bidder gets the fights or is that wishful thinking?

I think Joshua-Wilder happens within 12 months and then he'll have all four belts. I think then HBO will come hard for him especially if Canelo is truly tarnished and numbers reflect that. Joshua-Fury and Joshua-Usyk will then be the big fights.

***** like Canelo, he avoided the fight with GGG as he knew he would lose, taking a fight with Khan shows he was no confident

If you were HBO you would want to prevent Wilder v Joshua for the UNDISPUTED HW Fight on a Rival Network. They have to make their move NOW, it's now or never if they want Joshua at his Peak and Best.I think HBO will make a offer close to SHO and offer dates to Matchroom Boxing USA and they will get him
