Beterbiev is having trouble getting an opponent it seems.

Yarde isn't ready for those kind of fights, they are a while off yet IMO. He needs to be matched better, but not that much of a jump.
Buglioni, Johnson and Burton on the domestic scene are good fights and not ones he can take for granted.

I didn't catch all the Hearn interview from today, but i think he said Frank Warren is saying something along the lines of 'We wanted Buglioni for Yarde if he won, but not interested in Johnson'.

Hearn said he will be sending an offer to Warren for Johnson/Yarde later this week.

Yarde is nowhere near ready for Beterbiev, Beterbiev would destroy him

So looking at it like that it doesn't feel like THAT much of a jump up in class for Yarde, but it feels like a huge f#cking jump up in class for him. Cuz Yarde hasn't been in a real fight yet & Beterbiev would give him a real goddamn fight. So while it sounds like it'd be a fun guns drawn type of fight my feel isn't ready for this with just 3 years in the game & mostly complete setup opponents he was supposed to KO in 3 rounds or less.
How’s it a close one??? Yarde hasn’t even competed at domestic level yet. Yarde hasn’t fought anywhere near the level that Beterbiev has fought in the amateur’s or as a pro, it’s not “close” whatsoever.

Yarde's hype whilst fine is exceeding the level of competition he has faced. They want to take it slow which is fine because he has little amateur experience but his hype is such that people want him to fight good fighters.

His career is slightly frustrating in a sense that I don't think he's faced any adversity so far. So I'm fairly certain Beterbiev would knock him out.

I'll not watch Yarde against until he at least fights the Burton, Buglioni, Johnson trio.

It seems to me like Warren and his management are trying to by-pass them all together and go to world class. It's hard to see how that doesn't end in Yarde taking a shellacking from someone hardened and experienced. The domestic trio are all good fighters who will put Yarde in tough spots.

They wanted Buglioni previously presumably because they felt he was the weakest.

I dunno all the soundbites around him have been 'timing is everything'. It all seems a bit path of least resistance. Even that is fine because he is still a novice but like Tom says they can't in the same breathe be talking about world rankings.

He's in a tough spot. He's over-ranked if that is even a word.
Exactly well said.. And he should be trying to get a fight with any of those three before he considers fighting at world level

I respect Yarde and his team because they don't act like they're ready and I think every pro should have a right to develop at the pace they feel is best for them - because when you win a title you should be ready to fight anybody..
            Exactly this^^^

I can't see how Yarde is ranked 2 in the world by the WBO. Have they been paid to give him that ranking?

He's not ready to fight for domestic titles but he can be 2 in the world? That's crazy.

For the reason I said lol did you read what I said ffs????

Let me break it down again in 3 simple steps.

1)Yarde is like a top 15, top 20 guy. Beterbiev is like a bottom of the top 10 guy.

2)9 outta 10 times I'll have zero issues with a top 15/20 guy fighting a top 6-10 guy.

3)This would be one of those times doe due to Yarde's lacking experience & how big of a jump up in class this would be when you consider where each guy is at in their career.

warren has bought that #2 ranking with meaningless international and European wbo baubles.

Yarde is nowhere near that level. BTW...ANYONE who thinks hes the most exciting brit prospect over josh kelly wants their ****ing heads testing

Yarde is top 15 based on what exactly???? His only notable win is Sjekloca (a career super middleweight) I wouldn’t even rank Yarde above guys like Callum Johnson yet.

The point is Beterbiev-Yarde is not “close”... end of.
