No matter what happens at the hearing April 10th somebody is getting screwed.

That would be the way to do it. You need someone who has no or as lil as possible skin in the game with a fight happening to be making these decisions.
Promoters are losing money if this fight doesn't happen. The fighters lose money if the fight doesn't happen. The ABC Groups lose money if the fight doesn't happen. The state commission & the local economy/government that they are put into power by loses money if the fight doesn't happen. The testing agency is the most impartial player in all of this by a mile.Comment

I am pretty sure he will be cleared with a warning and the fight will go on at the same time and place. Too much money will be lost if Canelo doesn't fight GGG on time. Some money may be paid under the table but the fight will most likely happen as planned.Comment

True. Frankly, I don't really care.
NSAC does the right thing and Fishnets dela coke spoon gets the fight in September when he wanted it anyway and all the little people that need the fight to make money get screwed.
Do the wrong thing and Fishnets/Canelo gets a huge payday.
Suspend Canelo and fine Canelo/Golden Slurper $5 mil and give it to the community businesses that will lose money.Last edited by The Big Dunn; 03-26-2018, 03:24 PM.Comment

So you work for the NSAC or what?My prediction. On April 10th they will say something along the lines of "..because this is a complicated case, more time will be needed in order to come to a concrete conclusion" (They'll probably place blame on the uncooperative farmers/butchers). "...upon further research and expertise of sports medicine doctors, his high trace levels on his first test seem more troubling now than they did initially. Based on Saul Alvarez's claim of innocence and the fact that he's been fully cooperative since testing positive, we would be practicing negligence by not conducting a fully comprehensive investigation that such a high profile case deserves. In the meantime, we have informed both Team Canelo and Team Golovkin that until the investigation reaches a conclusion, the May 5th bout is still a go. Team Golovkin, if they see fit, can appeal this process at anytime, through the proper channels, which will indefinitely postpone the bout scheduled for May 5th"
Spot on. They'll give Canelo an out by making it GGG's fault for not going through with the fight rather than outright keep Canelo suspended. Damn.Comment

I'm prepared and am aware of all the tactics that NSAC will use. Though they aren't complicit in the wrong doings of Canelo, they definitely are dropping the ball now. They're trying to maintain legitimacy AND still let the fight continue - which, depending on how you look at it and how things develop, are two mutually exclusive happenings.
They're probably mad as he** that they have to be placed in this position. They're like "are you serious? We have to go out here and make tough decisions and punish people and cut into our bottom line?!!"
Bottom line, at the end of the day, NSAC is saying: "someone has to be the scapegoat, and it won't be us".Comment

What investigation are they conducting? I'd say none. This was lip service for GGG speaking up last week. If he hadn't, nothing at all would have come of it.
April 10th they say " we've looked into the results and there is no way to tell based on the levels in his system if it was tainted me at or drug use. Therefore we are reinstating MR. Ribeye and we expect the fight on May 5th to go on"Comment
