that's not what happened according to two lawsuits...

fights can still go on without a sanctioning body. and IIRc the WBC decided that they couldn't make a determination, but again, it does not decide whether fights go on or not1

povetkin's promoter countersued wilder for 35 million for a breach of contract after wilder and his promoter sued povetkin for 5ish million for breach of contract. wilder was awarded the suit after about 30 mins of deliberation. if you remember the timeline, povetkin popped for ostarine in the lead up to the stiverne fight right around the time of the ruling.

It was a complicated case. thought Povetkin's promoter first tried to sue Wilder for defamation, because he was calling Povetkin a cheat before the enquiry concluded. Wilder then counter-sued Povetkin for loss of earnings?

Povetkin's case was thrown out and Wilder's was upheld. But from what I heard, he still hasn't recieved a rouble of the money Povetkin's promoter was ordered to pay him.

it's in escrow while the appeal process goes through. i know povetkin's attorney filed for an appeal, no idea if it's been awarded. only winners in something like this are attorneys.

both guy sued primarily for a breach of contract. wilder's team also sued for lost revenue from sponsors, damages due to them putting a camp togetther and not being paid, etc. fight was only a week or so away.

povetkin's team may have sued first for defamation initially, but IIRc the breach of contract was a countersuit, and ithoughti damages for defamation were included in that.

i don't give enough of a **** to tell you more than that without looking into it, and i don't give a enough of a **** to look into it unless i've got to

what's importantt o me is that the deliberation in a million dollar lawsuit lasted 20-30 minutes, and that povetkin popped for a different drug against bermane stiverne.

povetkin is probbly the most obvious drug cheat in boxing. dude was a chubby little bunny in his 20's and early 30's. boxed at 200 in the olympics and did not have power. then his entire body, including his f#cking face, goes through a 2 year transformation. all of a sudden he's knocking dudes across the ring. and of course he's popped for PEDS. and FFS he's russian . the entire state is banned from olympic competition for a government sanctioned and backed drug ring.

that was haymons plan. pay off the testers and get paid for NOT fighting. when I heard wilder would go to Russia for that fight I could not believe it. now it is plain to see they never had no intention of fighting

Does it say something about who is more of a man and who is a hoe??

Is GGG more of a man??
Because GGG won the first fight and he knows the 2nd fight will be easy. Wilder didn't know deep down he could beat never mind stop Ortiz.

No, bro. Wilder jumped on a plane and hauled ass back to Alabama as soon as he heard that Povetkin failed. He didn't wait for an official ruling. The WBC had to cancel because Wilder refused to fight.
