It seems from an objective eye, that AJ's people/fans dont really want the Wilder fight. They seem to look for other fights for him.

Do you honestly think his team and AJ him wouldn't have worked on improving his stamina over time? Remember he was 17-0 when he fought Wlad, quite green in heavy weight standard, remind me again who Wilder was fighting at 17-0 till his 40th fight if any of the fighters he fought was on Wlad:s class.
