Frankly, Malignaggi can't believe anyone would've been surprised. The outspoken former two-division champion and Showtime analyst thinks every boxing fan and reporter should've suspected the Mexican superstar was "dirty" before he twice tested positive for clenbuterol late in February.

Well it's been confirmed by writers and others that there was talk about Canelo juicing behind the scenes for years. It's just only now the public is hearing about it.

I was su****ious because of changes in his physique that are uncommon for a pudgy fighter moving up in weight, but I thought maybe I was tripping a bit. I appears I wasn't. It's still terrible news for the sport though.

I give all fighters the benefit of the doubt until they fail a test or if they go from looking like world beaters to regular once they're under testing. But what made me su****ious of Canelo was the Beefy fight when he pulled out of testing. That was his first fight back at 154. Even if Beefy pulled out of VADA testing that doesn't mean Canelo had to pull out. And then they lied about Canelo being tested by VADA and got caught. I was su****ious but still wasn't ready to call him a cheater until there was hard proof.
