Either wilder or Joshua is gonna lose if they wait too long. I understand the promoters wanna make their money but unfortunately we as fans have to suffer while things marinate.

The time is now for the fight, the two best guys available should fight now. Yet the fans make it excusable to do otherwise. I live in Nashville, where boxing isn’t very popular. I attend fights in NYC usually once or twice a year. And when there’s good cards in the Midwest, I shoot up there. But based on where I live, obviously I’ve seen several of Wilder’s fights in person. And an Alabama boxing event brings forth some of the least knowledgeable “fight fans” you can ever be around. Most of the people in those arenas know next to nothing about boxing. But its also refreshing to be around them. Because they genuinely believe in their guy. And wanna see him validate their belief that he’s the best by seeing him fight the best. A far cry from a lot of these so called hardcore fans that wanna see their favs take the path of least resistance to fake greatness. It’s pathetic.Last edited by hitking; 03-25-2018, 08:29 PM.

These are the same people that were touting Ortiz.
Now they’re proping up Whyte for a shellacking.
It’s all great if it leads to Wilder vs Joshua.
But it feels like Hearn and AJ will just keep proping up more obstacles if they’re allowed to set a precedent with Dillian.
I would love to see Whyte get a shot but see no reason for it to happen before Wilder vs Joshua.
I’d love to see Ortiz get one more shot too but he got to beat somebody else to prove that the 7th round wasn’t a fluke.
If Wilder and Joshua don’t fight it will be because Hearn and AJ are ducking. Wilder is ready right now.Last edited by BoxingTech718; 03-26-2018, 12:38 AM.

The last thing Wilder said was that he was willing to take what Hearn feels he should get with the exception that if he wins then in the rematch Joshua would take the same cut he took in the first fight.
Eddie has said he agrees to that. But they all have to sit at the negotiating table.
Anyway, I think this fight will happen towards the end of 2018 or beginning of 2019.

I wonder if either of them will fight Povetkin or Pulev as well. I'm pretty sure both are Joshua's mandatories for the WBA and IBF.

Hopefully it’s next and in Vegas. Both sides almost act as if their fighter isn’t ready for the other. But another fight isn’t going to change much for Wilder, and letting AJ have another fight to develop more is a mistake, as well. I think Joshua would be an even bigger favorite over Miller than he is over Parker. And is Dillon a better boxer than Ortiz? I don’t think so at this stage. So another fight is pointless for both of these guys (from the public perspective). These promoters need to sh *t or get off the pot here. Keeping these mega fights from happening is gar-bage.
