Everyone here can agree that some posters here know their stuff when it comes to the sport. Irondanhamza is one. Here is a direct quote of his:

It's the man who beat the man. Which of course traces back for many years.

If the Lineage is vacant, it can be re-determined by the universal #1 Vs. the universal #2.

The "Lineage" is often open to interpretation, as far as I'm aware the "Ring Title" is their interpretation of "The man" and the "Lineal Champion".

But, other's people may differ to there's I.e Mosley's WW Lineage in 09-10. Many considered him the Lineal Champion whereas The Ring and other's felt he wasn't.

So, it does get confusing at times.

That's how I look at it anyway and always have.

Also, link to the quote: https://www.boxingscene.com/forums/s...d.php?t=542386
Genuine question, how are AJ and Wilder the universally recognised #1 and #2? Povetkin has a chance to beat both, and there is no clear, dominant champion in the division.

Even if AJ beats Parker then and Wilder then Fury is back soon, and loads of challengers coming up. The winner of AJ/Wilder would still have at least 2 HW's that could beat them.

What happened Larry, you don't believe in "marinating" fights anymore?

You said fury was still lineal champ.

Because the know Joshua Wilder isn't next. As I see it I don't have a problem with "marinating" it for one more fight to elevate maximal interest, but after that it is reasonable to suspect that Joshua is shook.

They are reports already that he will take less and travel. Plus read how they tried to negotiate months ago and Hearn has been silent.

You guys are shook. He came in sick at 218 lbs and still KOed one of the top guys and now it is down played. Wilder will go and beat Whyte and it will be down played too.

Wilder as per you guys don't deserve it because he never made real money put Parker and Martin did.

40% AND WANTS 60% in a rematch. Ridiculous stipulations.

They tried nothing. Hearn comntacted them and Wilder priced himself out. Wilder and his team sat on it for months and then ran to the press, instead of contacting Hearn to open negotiations back up.

                  Stork legs doesn't want it.

If he wins and AJ wants a rematch then Wilders is in the drivers seat.

You're ******ed. Wilder will never be in the drivers seat. Joshua is so far ahead of him in drawing power there's no chance in hell he gets 60% in a rematch.

Always ridiculous demands and stupid stipulations with Wilder. If he was serious about the fight he wouldn't be making stupid demands to the press while making no effort at all to actually try to make the fight with Hearn.
