The NAC regulations on 'LICENSING AND CONTROL OF CONTESTS AND EXHIBITIONS OF UNARMED COMBAT'

I've also e-mailed 'em, cos, well I don't really want to wade through all that crap.

EDIT: NRS 467.070  Jurisdiction of Commission.

    1.  The Commission has and is vested with the sole direction, management, control and jurisdiction over all contests or exhibitions of unarmed combat to be conducted, held or given within the State of Nevada, and no contest or exhibition may be conducted, held or given within this state except in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.

    2.  Any boxing or sparring contest conforming to the requirements of this chapter and to the regulations of the Commission shall be deemed to be a boxing contest and not a prize fight.

The ABC regulations state that a suspension from one SAC should also be applied to the others.

In short this could theoretically mean that Canelo could be disallowed from public sparring - certainly from receiving renumeration thereof, but it's hard to see how one could extend the ruling beyond that.
Koba, props for emailing the NSAC! Let me know if they respond, I’m definitely interested in knowing that one! I would think that any public display would be out of the question. At the same time it’d be easy to bypass it. Keep us updated brother

Of course he can train, he just can’t professionally box under their commission during his ‘ban’

This whole thing is a show.

Canelo is a plastic and manufactured star and this is a plastic and manufactured show of ‘power’

Well, we'll see where it gets us, but this is what I sent 'em and I was only slightly dishonest, though who knows? Maybe I actually will write an article if I get a response.

        Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to request details on the terms of the suspension of the NSAC boxing license, pending hearing and judgement, following the positive urine tests for Clenbuterol of Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez. My understanding is that the ruling would disallow the named fighter from participating in NSAC sanctioned boxing matches for the duration, but it is unclear what, if any, other limitations are imposed by the suspension.
Would it be possible to furnish me with the exact conditions of the suspension, especially as they apply to activities such as training and sparring, or at the very least point me in the direction of the relevant documentation and rules as they apply to this case? The purpose of my research is to assist in the writing of an article for a major boxing website and I do not wish to unwittingly provide false or misleading information, of which there currently seems to be an excess surrounding this case.

        Regards and thanks

My initial thoughts would be that he is allowed to train. After reading some things, it almost sounded like he is not supposed to train, or at least not publicly. I could very easily be misunderstanding it though. I mean what would the point of a suspension be if he could? Obviously he is in Cali, not Nevada, so I don’t see how it could be upheld, if that’s the case.....OPINIONS, DISCUSS PLEASE FRIENDS
          Yes he is

Golovkin promoter Tom Loeffler said the suspension is mandated by Nevada regulations until a full hearing has occurred, and the earliest the commission could arrange one is April 10.

"They told us Canelo has complied with follow-up testing and everything they've asked of him, but under their rules, they had to issue a suspension," Loeffler said.

Alvarez is permitted to continue training, and Loeffler said Golovkin "is still training like he's going to fight on May 5, and hopefully, it's against Canelo."

          This suspension looks for show.

Canelo Alvarez has been temporarily suspended by the Nevada Athletic Commission as a result of submitting two positive tests for the banned substance Clenbuterol last month.

If NSAC knew a boxer is under the influence of Clen, is he allowed to spar at all even in private??

If thats the case I can only assume the fight is off.

I heard HBO didn't advertise the fight on the card the other day to, but did advertise the May 12 card so thats kinda telling.

No Cinco de Mayo fight this year its looking like, but the fact that they haven't officially said it outright makes me think the money is gonna win the day. The first fight was the 3rd best gate in boxing history. Thats nothing the casinos & Vegas City Council won't find away around if they can.

I wish they'd just say something outright cuz the way they are handling this is as sketchy as the sh^t before it damn near lol.
