Quite possible. I think Canelo started PEDs right after that catch weight fight with Floyd. He drained himself to make 152 and I think from there he started taking shortcuts to make weight while packing on muscle. Didn't want to be at a disadvantage ever again.

I recently re-watched the Canelo/Cotto fight. Cotto was actually landing some great punches and out-boxing Canelo for at least half the rounds. But Canelo wasn't phased, he was walking through Cotto's punches and was clearly the much bigger man in there. I'd guess he was 175 easy on day of fight.
