        The way they act is disgusting. Seriously they should shut up and let the commission do their job. How they know for 100% he's innocent. I love boxing but whqt a ****ty corrupt sport it is.

          It is indeed "so unfair" that a fighter who tested dirty should be suspended.

          Don't they know how much money is at stake?

            Even of he's innocent, the way they've responded is terrible What will happen when the next guy tests positive? Yea..we know.

                  I've never seen sanctioning bodies react to a positive drug test like this....

                  any one alse think this is a bit fishy? I mean fair enough if you believe he didn't cheat but this is OTT and makes me question everything and everyone involved in the sport.

                    If all fighters would be treated equal, he'd get a 9-12 month suspension. In the Luis Ortiz nandrolone case, prior to the hearing we heard Bob Bennett say this on Luis Ortiz (who popped for Nandrolone back in 2014):

                    =================
                    "He could be fined, and typically, in my five months on the job, first-time offenders for a positive test for a diuretic usually get a nine-month suspension and first-time offenders for anabolic steroids usually get 12 months, depending on mitigating circumstance," Bennett said. "The punishment could increase, but it is not likely to decrease."
                    =================

                    They even mentioned Ortiz would be fined at an amount equal to his $80K purse. However Bob has not been that vocal in this Canelo case, prior to this 'temporary' suspension. I'm really puzzled what this 'temporary suspension' means. Can anybody fill me in? From what is he suspended? It's not clear to me. I've understood he could still train, so his camp is still on.

                    Besides, isn't a suspension always temporary? (I'm not a native English speaker, so could be wrong here). I thought that was the difference between a suspension - or a ban, one being by default temporary and the other indefinite. Why call this a "temporary suspension" and not just "suspension"? It seems like they want to make the public aware that they are actually doing something (and hope to silence the people that claim favouritism). All this seems PR work, in a poor attempt to silence critics....

                      It's unbelievable how the sanctioning bodies are protecting Canelo. They should shut up and let the NSAC finish it's investigation. Sanchez and Golovkin are getting critisized for asking that a proper in depth investigation be done. Meanwhile back at the ranch, Kellerman and Smith are brushing off the drug failure as a minor annoyance and then claiming they are fans of boxing. What a couple of *******s. Canelo's recklessness has completely derailed this fight.
