Honestly I think the best possible fight with the trajectory Mikey's been on & the mindset his team has is Easter. I think these cats are on some Danny Garcia sh^t with trying to max out these easier fights for 1 or 2 million while teasing big fights.

I think Mikey is more into making money then defining his legacy. I've said numerous times I think Mikey is gonna be more successful after boxing then during his boxing career. And fair play to him in doing that. This is a unforgiving sport & if Mikey loses or gets f#cked up in the ring no one is gonna give a f#ck about him except the people on his team + his family now.
Going down to 135 for Easter makes little sense. Linares was worth a little more, had more prestige. He’s not going back for anyone else and Easter will be moving up sooner than you think anyway.

They can build up Prograis nicely for him and then, in spite of what we may think of his chances at 147, he’s gonna move up. After all, if it’s money he wants, that’s where it’s at.

See, but the thing is he has no damn intentions of fighting Spence and that's the reason he gets hate. He calls out Linares, Lomachenko, Cotto, Spence, and Thurman but fights a guy like Lipinets. The hype has never lived up, he's yet to fight any world beaters.

In fairness I said the best possible fight I could see him taking next is Easter. I don't think he'll fight anyone most fans care about next. Easter just seems like the lowest hanging fruit with the Garcia's mindset.

I think Regis is too much of a threat vs the payday for that fight. I don't see it happening anytime soon.

And if Ramirez ends up beating Regis then we'll be in the same situation as with Loma & Arum where the fight will seem less likely to be made due to history & how Arum tends to operate in general with in house fights.

Think about it though, he has a mandatory or risks losing that belt. Easter is just not worth that. And, like I said, Easter will be moving up. You're wrong about Garcia chasing the lowest hanging fruit and when he doesn't take Easter next, I hope you reconsider that mindset. Again, he was going to fight Linares next. That can't happen and he has to take this fight at 140 to keep his title.

Yes, Prograis may lose. In which case, Mikey moves up to 147, which he will sooner than most think too.

I don't think Mikey cares about belts per se. I think he cares about money. And I mean on a level most fighters don't. Mikey is a smart cat who's likely made more money out of the ring then in it already & he for sure has a better ROI out of the ring than in it. Boxing is just funding his future in a way most boxers never consider til its too late.

I didn't pull the Easter thing outta my a$$. Mikey said he was likely moving back down to 135 & Easter seems the easiest fight to make to me. Mikey said the 135 sh^t I'm not assuming anything. And there is no one to fight at 140 yet cuz that division is influx & no one is really a name yet.

And Linares wasn't going to happen from what I heard cuz GBP wanted options. If GBP wants options before why wouldn't they want options in the future? And if Mikey wasn't down for options before why would he be in the future?

I don't believe the juice is worth the squeeze with Regis anytime soon so I don't see it likely to happen.

But yea Mikey will cash out at 147 eventually. I think he's aiming for the biggest fights for the least risk til he finally makes that move where he'll be fighting the Spence vs Thurman winner in 2020/2021 or some sh^t like that. And I'm not even hating on that cuz if I was in their position I might be doing the exact same thing, but I try to call it as I see it & this is making for a rather boring trajectory for Mikey fans (ie not fanboys).

The hate he gets is deserved. He's the biggest cherry picker in modern history and he runs his mouth and name drops more than any other fighter.
